Well, turns out my cellphone's camera isn't quite as bad as I was expecting. Also, my hair has faded some (with showering and a bit of sun), but not as much as it looks like here. The picture I posted before was not even four hours after I'd recolored it anyways, so the color was super intense at that point. That intensity faded pretty quickly because red seems to do that even if you're really careful with it.
