How about scanlators simply posted the scans on Batoto instantly without uploading them to their own site?
Wouldn't that get them more publicity since that means they can only read them there and not from Doo-doo-Fox?
Alternatively I think the idea of using the "manga-sites" only for finding the scanlators (like a search engine) and making a manga reader HTML template for scanlators to use on their sites would be a good idea. *cough*kinda-like-piratebay*cough*
That way the readers will always get the latest chapters instantly in full quality while getting lots more traffic to their site.

MangaUpdates/BakaUpdates. Also, a good deal of the scanlation groups do have their own readers.
The problem with Mangafox is that it steals the scans from EVERYWHERE. If they know it's somewhere out there, they'll steal it somehow. It's as easy as just saving every picture on the site. They have automated bots to do that. If not, they pay people to make ****py *** scans and market that way.
I wasn't going to quote Batoto's founder since i felt that i didn't need to, but he says why Batoto exists(http://www.batoto.net/forums/topic/1957-batoto-is/):
Batoto hosts not only your comics but also the groups' own ads with them for participating groups. This gives them the chance to recoup their costs through their own advertiser(s) for who need it.
But hey, if you don't want to help the people who give you your scans, i can't make you care. You're just hastening the death of the group you enjoy. No, seriously.

If Batoto is in fact allowing people to gain ad money from their scans then I see absolutely no reason what so ever in delaying the access to them.

Reading Ares atm, i rly like it so far.
I wonder if Asha or Kubera was the Person that got over 9000 Points.
Anime K in one sentence from Aroduc: " but I suspect that the less I try to think about the logic in this show, the happier I’ll be."
Maybe i start reading Btooom, Deadman Wonderland or Claymore after Ares

^Deadman Wonderland is a grand example of a good concept with bad execution.
The manga isn't bad per se, but it's not exactly good..
When are ya gonna give A***etsu a try?

The reason the other websites have it faster is because they all steal the scans immediately after the scanlators put up the download links using bots. This is unpreventable without just locking down the site altogether, thus hurting the people who are trying to help them. Also, there is no legal way to stop MF due to the fact scanlations are illegal in themselves. It would be like a known criminal trying to sue another known criminal. Batoto does respect the scanlator's delays for the reason that it helps the scanlators much much more if people would just download the scans from the site instead of reading online. MF also sells stuff that benefits from the stolen scanlations. Scanlators do all this stuff for free, only asking for donations, which amount to around $2000, while MF gains around 10m from stealing the scans, and selling unlicensed goods.
Anyways, i rest my case. This is too frustrating for me to try and explain, so I'll leave it at that. All i can say is "Dont support Mangafox and it's affiliates."
It seems you fail to understand the point. Mangafox and similar sites only exist because there's a need to have all the manga's in one place. If the scanlators fulfilled that need then mangafox would simply cease to exist. It's that simple.
I support mangafox and it's affiliates. They're making money by providing a service the scanlators don't, which seems pretty fair to me.
