It's coming...

http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=article&item=valve_linux_dampfnudeln&num=1

Old news by now (2months), but I just dug this out of my pile of tabs.

Valve is porting Steam and some Source games to Linux.
They're starting with L4D2.

When will it be released? Who knows? But they ARE working on it.
A good guess would be some time during 2013 or 2014.
"I saw [Twilight: Eclipse] in theaters with a girl I was dating at the time. I spent more time staring at my toes and wiggling them than I did watching this abomination. When Edward proposed to Blank Face, I finally looked up with a revelation.
I blurted out loud, in a dead silent theater full of teenage girls on opening night "Wait a minute, Edward has no blood flow. How does he get an erection?" I heard several men laughing, and had several girls turn and stare at me.

I did not get laid that night." - Berengier817

You can play most games on linux by using wine. And even if steam games are being ported to linux you're still better off using wine in order to play when they're released.

Besides, over half the money bill gates gets goes to charity, so I hope microsoft keeps giving him piles and piles of cash.

It was actually 1/3 of his current wealth in 2011, but still pretty close. Bill Gates is an awwwright guy ^_^

Up to date, he has donated well over 40 billion dollars.

Well, in many ways Linux already outdoes windows.

It's obviously very lacking in the software department compared to windows, but overall I consider Linux to be a better PLATFORM for programs.

Windows is doing a lot of good things for the tablet market with 8 though, but I'm pretty sure Metro won't fit the desktop environment very well..
