It's an emulator only setting. It does NOTHING with the game itself. It's like changing sound from mono to stereo. It's impossible to break the game and it can be changed in 2 seconds. The filter takes the pixel output from the ROM then analyses edges, smooths the edges out then displays the picture on the screen. The filter is very similar to how AA (Anti Aliasing) works in 3D games. I've never used it on a crappy computer, so I don't know how performance heavy it is, but it should be fine seeing as I get 500FPS without V-SYNC.[/quote]
