It's good enough that you should play it at least once. It's not good enough that everyone should have it.
If a friend has it, or you pirate it, it's definitely worth it to try.

terraria is a lot of fun, i enjoy it a lot more than minecraft, theres just so much more to do and the bosses actually have appropriate difficulty unlike the minecraft dragons fake difficulty.
anyway, wall of flesh is so ****ing hard, how the hell does anyone beat this ****.

so i defeated the wall, didnt need star cannon or obsidian potions just used hellfire arrows (been saving those :(
anyway, so then i went and broke 3 alters to get the cobalt, mythril, and adamantite ores.
to get cobalt you need molten pick
to get mythril you need cobalt drill then turn your first bars into mythril anvil.
to get adamantite you need mythril drill then turn 30 ores plus hellforge into adamantite forge.
corruption spreads like a ***** after killing the wall, even after the hallow that spawned took out half of one of my 3 corruptions the third spread all the way down to hell. (so from 2 to 5% covered in corruption.)
everything that spawns is so much harder than before, i hate the giant bats now (****ers give you confusion, making you walk to the right when you push a instead of walking to the left). theres so many more monsters with ranged attacks (a few with poison) the new giant worm for the corruption is basically a mini eater of worlds except tons of damage. (seriously, even with cobalt armor i have yet to take less than 40 damage in a hit from any of the new monsters.)

boomerangs are great, idk what you're talking about. they got buffed to deal melee damage instead of ranged.
anyway heres a pic of my house using a map program. the mannequins are derping out for some reason, and i have a set of meteor, jungle, shadow, molten, and necro armor on display.
