Man Ya1232 I couldn't disagree with you more haha. Zilean is perfect the way he is. Bombs don't do damage? All I can say is you must not be building him right.. And his abilities don't support well? A 55% speed boost or 55% slow that lasts up to 5.5 seconds is pretty helpful.. and his ult, well yeah--don't need to say much. He has the ability to cast 2 bombs and 2 speed/slows instantly, plus keep a seriously low ult cooldown.
In other words, Zilean is awesome. :D

The way I look at it is that if Riot changed his skillset so he was hardcore AP carry, he'd be great. And if Riot changed his skillset to be hardcore support, he'd be great. He's still good now, but a little stuck between the two (not in a good way.)

Sorry about that Mr. Bard. But yeah, I'm not so sure about the FoN... If you want defense on Zilean getting items like RoA, Soul Shroud, Frozen Heart, or Abyssal Scepter seems more effective.. The FoN just doesn't have as much to offer for Zilean and is pretty expensive. It gives lots of health regen, magic resist, and some movement speed which is nice, but no AP or cooldown reduction which are Zilean's primary stats.. it just doesn't exactly fit Zil's role very well. Banshee's veil would be nice in place of it too! It'd give you magic resist, mana, health, and that beautiful shield.
