Ya, I typically wouldn't go Warmog's (Usually a Banshee's for MR) but it seems to work quite nicely in practice. With atmog's I end up with 4.7k HP as opposed to 3.5k HP with a banshee's. It's kind of silly but works (A LOT of things work on Jax).

Yes. Because 3% of .00001 HP really factors into your damage.

Personally I play Jax with like 5k health and 200 Ar and 150 MR or so. Farming it isn't that hard and Atma's is good just for the armor. Atma's + Zhonya's is a pretty good combo imo.

Atmas is absolutely core on Jax, it's really awesome because it synergizes with your AD/AP and gives you a really strong lategame.
IMO Atmogs would be a total overkill on Jax and you could spend the money for AD/AP/Resistances, Jax gets enough health from his passive to be quite Offtanky with Atma's, Ninja Tabi, Banshee's/QSS and Lifesteal/Spellvamp.
