Old TT's jungle was too hardcore for champions like Hecarim or Maokai :P
I mean like really, I had trouble with it on Lee Sin, and I went 9/21/0 and maxed W first and still got really low after a few clears.

"meta" he says...
Didn't see it yet since I stopped playing on PBE, but the seize of Shadow Isle isn't much bigger (maybe even smaller) than old TT, isn't it?
So if minions + 1 champ doesn't have an insane early pushing power and you're in danger of losing your tower directly from the start, a flexile all-out roaming strategy comparable to domi is still the best.
You decide to split up I'll gank on every single mate.
If Riot really wants to enforce a SR like laning phase, they have to extra boost the lanes which are supported by champs.

The perfect defintion of this would be
Nunu & Willump. You can easily run away from counterjungle attemps with
Ice Blast. And nobody roams as fast as
Nunu & Willump. Finally,
Consume. Works best with an AS-reliant teamcomp.

Another great jungler:
Udyr. Basically, his level 2 ganks are really scary and if you are not prepared for that on this map, you will basically get melted instantly. It is much easier to gank with champs like him unless your team pushes like a madman. He has also great altar and jungle control.
I prefer
Wilding Claw
Udyr on TT with
Blazing Stampede maxed second. This way my ganks are as scary as possible. And TT is all about ganking, not clearing.
Start items:
Boots +
Cloth Armor + 4
Health Potions + 1
Mana Potion
The trick is to buy the new blue pot for the second clear. This acts like a blue buff. This also means any blue buff dependent jungler can now jungle at TT.

I prefer

one person per lane, with another person jungling. has to be someone whos not only good at killing the creeps but also good at ganking.
i just tried it with maokai with ok results (the diana on our team was worthless and lost us the game.) however the enemy had done the same with hecarim to great results.
edit: try in pubs with your own risk.
