gangplank is dualing champion, not solo...he need someone who will go before him.

how do you figure he nees someone before him?
hes def a solo char ^^ just look at treeeskimos streamed gp games where he usually crushes his sololane simply by not dying, denying and sometimes lasthitting (not the main objective there earlygame imo)

Well if you want to be fed lane with a AP Sion, make sure you have typical Gangplank runes. Basically Sion stun+Shield then you last hit with Parrrley

Elementz said it's best to go in a duo lane with gangplank, because his deny will be affecting 2 champions instead of one. Also, riot nerfed the exp in solo lane quite some time ago, so I think you'll be denying more exp per Raise Morale than in solo lane. So PFP is right; put him in duo lane bottom and take soraka with you.

Just a quick note: Melee minions give more exp per kill than caster minions, so deny those first (if there's no cannon minion to deny).

The point is, the two champions in bottom lane probably were put there because they didn't need the experience/last hits as much as the two solo lanes would. That's why you typically see carries going solo mid and solo top, and that's why it's more important to deny them. In addition, the level disparity when denying 2v2 isn't nearly as noticeable as when you deny 1v1, or even better - 1v2.
