A friend of mine plays with a nuke Sona and I must say that once he gets a few lvls and he starts hitting like a truck with his auto-attack and such.
Can activate a song every 2 secs... Which is pretty much the same timer to activate
Trinity Force/ Lich Bane which in turn will boost up his damage greatly. Not to mention that he triggers a Power Chord ( Hymn of Valor) every 9 secs... painful x_x
7. Shouting Demacia, either irl or in /all, has been known to improve your game play.

And especially with the changes they made to Sona's Passive, AP with Lich Bane is very good...
Sona's Aria of Perseverance has the worst of her AP ratios...everything else she has has at least a 70% AP ratio while it has only a 35% ratio...this makes building her AP much better at healing whether you get a Lich Bane or not...

The only AP item I would get on her is RoA and that's just mainly for the mana and survivability.
