Bah, I forgot to post once I'd tested.
Anyway, I couldn't replicate the issue. I was easily chomping down on a 900-ish health Ashe and killing her with a 1k+ Feast, every time I tried. I'm thinking that the most likely scenario is that you miscalculated your damage. Exactly what items did you have built at the time that you tried to kill Ezreal with Feast?

Explorer could be killed so easily by mere beasts, well...
He wouldn't be so prodigal would he. In short, you can't
kill the Protagonist that easily, he has to survive the first
encounter, so that he may die later, when enough emotional
energy has been invested in him by the audience.
Seems legit.
As far as I can remember, cho'gath's ult always was a bit buggy. For exemple,

TL;DR: No love for Cho'Gath.
+rep me and you'll get good karma, wich means you won't be reincarnated into a rock! Isn't that awesome?

But yes this idea has been discussed more than Pam Anderson's tits in a plastic surgeons office.
^Actually, if you
Feast a minion the base damage changes to 1000. It still gets bonus damage off you AP.
Also, I always thought it had a .3 ratio? Did it get buffed sometime?

In reality though, it sounds like it may be an actual bug. Someone should test this to see if Cho's ult has the wrong scaling or if it'd being mitigated by armor or MR. I don't see how it could be less then your calculated value (assuming it's true damage like it's supposed to be) unless your calculations were off.
I'll test this evening.
