    Rune Pages? Help.

Hey! I am a pretty big noob at this game as I come from CS:GO but I am trying to get into this game and have watched a lot of LOL. What rune pages should I have as I almost never play ADC, and in order by most played is jungle, top, mid, support. I don't really want to spend money on more rune pages because pay to win xD

Thanks to anyone that can help me :).

P.S. My One Rune Page I have right now looks like this, and I believe it is for Jax and Tanky Supports. I want to get into the tank top or 1 shot mid with my runes and gameplay...

    x9 Mark of Attack Speed
x5 Seal of Armor x4 Seal of Health
x9 Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist
    x3 Quin Attack Speed

Overall the most useful ones are something like

    Page 1
    9x AD marks
    9x Armor seals
    9x Magic resist glyphs
1x Attack damage quints, 2x attack speed quints

    Page 2
    9x Magic pen marks
    9x Armor seals
    9x Magic resist glyphs
    3x Ability power quints

It's really hard to drop either of these so 3-4 rune pages would be ideal amount. It comes down to your champion pool to decide if you really need third one or if you can maybe even replace one of the earlier pages. I'd say just play the game to get third rune page.

Note: Scaling MR gives you more MR than the flat ones from lvl 6 on, and as a jungler or even as a top-laner you don't need much MR in early game, so I would say scaling is better.

    I don't like scaling. I prefer flat.

Something I would like to add: As you aproach the lvl where you want to play ranked, you should always prefer to buy a rune page / set over a champion when thinking about both options, because you can adapt to your opponents picks better by having more rune pages, but you can't always do this with more champs, because (1) you will still main 1 or 2 champs you play best and (2) when you pick early you can't change your champ anymore, but you can switch your rune page.

Well as Joxuu said, you won't get along with only 2 rune pages. The example's he wrote are good for beginners, but with the time you need more combinations for more sitational plays. For example already in the champion select. Maybe you are a AD mid laner vs a AP mid laner. You can run the basic runes or use some more advanced like this:

    9x AD marks
    9x Scaling health seals
    9x Scaling mr glyphs
1x life steal and 2x attack speed quints

What I try to tell; you have to expand your rune pages a little bit more, because we have so many rune combinations for every match up and play style.

You don't need more than two pages. People get to Challenger on smurfs with only two pages. Having more rune pages makes the game more fun because you can customize your setup and it can give you small advantages, but you don't need more rune pages to win games.

Yeah, for now - the idea is to have one basic page for your AD scaling champs (that buy AD items to increase physical damage) and one for your AP scaling champs (that buy AP to increase magic damage).

Start with that, then expand with CyberReaper's suggestions and a few others, like tank/support pages.

Gotcha, so for now just start with the basic 2 rune pages?
