Can you purge Irelia's marks with Cleanse/QSS?

Irelia hits you with or her ult. You activate or , does it remove the mark so she can't reset her dash?

No, QSS only removes crowd control and Cleanse only removes CC and summoner spell effects (e.g. 's Damage over Time).

So there isn't a single way in the game to purge these marks, even if you consider champion abilities?

Correct, you have to dodge the actual application of the mark if you don't want to get repeatedly dashed on. Both Irelia's E and R are skillshots so they are both dodgeable.

Edit: By "dodge" I'm including things like spell shields and untargetability/stasis. As soon as you get hit by E or R you're gonna be marked for 6 seconds no matter what.

Arf, so unless you play a mobile champion with an instant dash to dodge that stun you're kind of screwed against Irelia.

Until you learn how to play safe and move unpredictably, yes. She's really not too bad of a matchup. The E is pretty easy to manipulate/predict and R doesn't have a big range.

"Until you learn to play safe and move unpredicatbly"? "Not that hard of a matchup"? Lol. 3 of the top 5 challengers in US right now are Irelia pickers. She's literally permaban material right now. Maybe you should tell their lane opponents that.

Irelia can place her first blade and hold her second one for up to 3.5 seconds while you're fighting her, and put it down at any moment. There's nothing predictable about her E whatsoever.

Unless you're a Master/Challenger player, I don't think you have that much to worry about. It's more than safe to say a majority of people playing Irelia is not a Challenger level player. Unless you're in that elo, the people you're against aren't going to be playing as smart or using the same exploits to the same effect as a challenger level player. I'm seeing very few issues playing into an Irelia in high gold/low plat. Occasionally I'll end up against one that just outplays me, but typically that's not the case.
