should i play a champ that different from its class like i play full ap malphite in my gold series and i am about to be platinum soon so should i play like that in high elo?

Play what you're comfortable with, as long as you know what you do ... If i'm not mistaken there is a guy who play full ap sejuani in diamond/master lvl so ...

Sure, why not. "Unviable" builds/champions usually face disadvantage against "meta" champions. You will just have to make up for the disadvantage with your own skill. I have played AP in higher elos too and it's quite fun.

P.S One can't really define what's unviable or what's in the meta so that's why I used "".

Pss, go for the full AD rock you fools !!
Go for that Youmuu/IE Combo and with your 40% ad steroid, people won't even have time to hit the ground when you ult ;)

I invite you to try tanky AP. Champs don't need to (and in fact, rarely should be) glass or pure tank. For example, (who builds extremely similarly to ) with , , , , , and // would make you very durable, but also give you a solid chunk of AP. You won't be able to go as crazy as someone with a build like , , , , and , but you also actually deal damage, and won't run out of MP after two rotations of spells.

The underlying issue here is: is there a difference between Gold 1 and Plat 5?
And the answer to that would be: Not much more than Gold 2 to Gold 1. Just keep going with what's been working for you.
