Im not a Kha'Zix main, but i have played him enough to know how he works and what you should do while playing him. He feels similar to many other assassins, but he has a little more utility. Unlike his counterpart, Rengar, he has an easier gap closer with his Leap / evolved wings, but does not have as strong of cc as rengar does with Bola Strike.

When i play kha'zix, i typically look at what the enemy team is, and figure out what to buy based on their comp. As for a generic build, i would go red smite warrior -> ghostblade / duskblade -> boots (mainly mobis) -> the other blade -> black cleaver -> edge of night if they have cc.

For evolve pattern, i normally evolve e -> w -> r/q, taking e first for early gank potential, and better escapes if you are behind. If you are going against a kayn, w might be the better option to evolve first, due to the fact that he can easily go through the wall when you use e. If you have the enemy isolated with evolved w, it gives you a 95% slow, which should be more than enough for you to get away.

    Hope this helps,

Oh, I should also add that Nocturne isn't that hard to play - there's two ways to play him, attack speed or burst. Attack speed is much easier to play but takes longer to turn on, and burst really relies on your team but is a great assassin. Depending on comp your job is mostly going to be to initiate on the enemies high priority targets to blow them up, but ideally you should be power farming to 6 as fast as possible and then looking to snowball the game by using your ult and getting 1-2 kills out of it every time you ult.

His current best build (at least imo) has both. Lethal Tempo and Spear of Shojin provide a lot of attack speed, plus you can max Shroud of Darkness second if you want more. For the early and mid game you can get Enchantment: Warrior and Duskblade of Draktharr for burst while people are still squishy. LT and Shojin handle any targets you can't immediately burst down.

At this point, full lethality is really situational based on the targets you're fighting and full attack speed just doesn't work well. Yi is a way better version of attack speed Nocturne.

Yi is a bit harder to get into backline and much harder to pick out then Noc, those are the two advantages he has. Yi just does much more damage and is better at chasing down targets.

I personally think Bloodrazer is mandatory on him even if going full lethality. Just gives you so much objective control early game and certainly isn't bad damage wise.

The most important thing with Khazix is picking your fights.

You have an extremely strong sustained dps and burst damage on isolated targets. You have extremely **** damage on non isolated targets. Thus your target selection and approach to fights is key. You somewhat rely on your enemies to make mistakes and become isolated. If the enemy adc or mid lane does this though, the fight is pretty much gg if you're in a position to capitalize. Early game levels 1-4 you aren't super strong and mostly want to farm and take cs advantages and only gank if there's a free kill or objective you can get out of it. Khazix's counter ganks really aren't that great either unless it's a super spread out fight. However he excels at dives and if you have a roaming support you can pick on the jungler as well. Once you get a few levels in your Q you can start dueling the other jungler and bullying them. After you get your second evolution is usually when you'll be strongest and then you'll want to skirmish around objectives, you can teamfight but it's not the best idea as it's much harder to navigate fights. But if you don't have a pick comp you might have to. This is also why we don't see much Khazix in the meta nowadays, pick comps aren't super popular thanks to how strong laners are now.
