Is Yorick strong (if he was before) anymore?

I recall in S2, was difficult to counter in lane, but then had a questionable mid-late-game impact. But now it seems like even his laning isn't that strong. What are your opinions of this?

I'd say viable, but not a top pick. If you wanted to be the Best Yorick NA and spam him to diamond, you certainly could. I think his laning is still good, though not quite as ridiculous as before, partly because of the prominence of ridiculous sustain in all top laners now. His late game is still pretty good because if his ultimate if you have a strong ADC.

There are probably better picks, but I don't think Yorick's too bad.

Yorick had some nerfs but things like Flask buffed him slightly. His main issue is that his impact on the game overall is too low despite his versatile skillset. I still use him as a support in bot lane and he works well there but I guess he just doesn't fit the meta atm.

I'd say he can still be an effective counter pick to certain champs, but all in all he's too nerfed.

I actually agree with Darahas. Yorick imo is still extremely strong and counters a lot of people in lane phase, most of his items got buffed and while he got nerfed I think they mainly even out. So I still think he's one of the top laners. Just depends on what you do afterwards which is the problem.

The sustain meta hurt Yoricks poking ability as a lot of champs can brush it off. He is a good counter to Elise who is getting popular now. He also still is pretty strong and a safe lane pick.

He is strong but got nerfed so I wouldn't say the best pick but they can be good for any team.

The fact that most tops nowadays have really good sustain and can run full armor builds without any problem hurts Yorick A LOT. He isn't nearly as good as he was.
