Questions about players in division.
I am currently pre-30 in LoL in the OCE server that played from another server. Recently in my matches, I most of the times get matched with players from higher division apart from Bronze. However, when I am teamed with players from Gold and above (sometimes Platinum), they apparently played worst compare to the other unranked players. Now I am not assuming all division players are like that because I seem some who are just good. I'm just interested to know how these players entered their division and yet play so poorly?
And why am I matched against all these high division players? I was matched against a Diamond Kha'Zix who utterly wrecked us.

Generally what happens is that if your account is in ranked promos for the first time, then you get put up really high as their is no MMR from last season to base your rank off. I had a friend who started League sometime last year and reached 30 this year just in time for the new season. He got placed in Gold V and is pretty much stuck there because he got placed way out of his depth. That could be one reason.
The second reason is probably that you caught them on a bad game. Please understand that you can't really assess how well someone plays based off of the one game you've played with them. If they are in Plat, then they're definitely in Plat for a reason. They must've played well more than they've played badly, and you simply saw them on a bad game. Not to mention that in normals, people do tend to be a lot more relaxed and casual in how they play.
Why you're getting matched with diamonds is actually a discussion that has become popular in Reddit. I'm just guessing it's some quirk with the match-making system.
I am deeply offended by this post.:^)It could be possible that the player is trying something new, not everyone will be amazing at every champ they try at higher elo i would expect, like we both would agree that even a pro player has a week champ they play poorly, get me?
that or either there tired or whatever.
I have wrecked diamond adc's before in ranked 5s team its not that hard, but dont underestimate them either.
