League of Legends (LoL) Question: The Future of Kai'Sa?

    The Future of Kai'Sa?

I imagine that a Guinsoo's Rageblade on-hit build will be incredibly powerful considering her passive, similar to Varus, but I wonder if the meta will end up with her building a standard, crit-based ADC build instead? Thoughts and opinions?

By the way i just tried Kai'Sa and wanted to see her synergy with Runaan's Hurricane and it seems like it procs a plasma stack on each bolt from runaan's. So you can try going ADC, and be able to stack those plasma deal bonus damage and crit while doing it. Wouldn't recommend full crit though, with the attack speed bonus from her Supercharge 50% should be enough if you want to try get an upgrade on all her abilities.

Yeah, I think my main focus is gonna be a Rageblade/Hurricane build like Varus uses, and just go full hybrid. It's pretty sick that Hurricane works with her, that's huge.

In my opinion rage blade will be part of the core build if you are looking to maximize the bonus on all the abilities. You would be looking at something like: Guinsoo's Rageblade, Blade of the Ruined King, Hextech Gunblade, Nashor's Tooth, Trinity Force. However, the efficiency of the items seems questionable. But maximising the damage burst damage at 4 stacks would be the common goal instead of dealing damage with basic attacks. With the build above you get +210 AP, +140 AD and +140% AS (you can double check and there might be better items)

If you look at her abilities at late game (level 18) with these items (which maybe unlikely but it is possible, because of riot's constant attempt to help end games faster these days):
    • passive innate: 12 + 9 + 25% AP @ 4 plasma stacks bonus magic damage.
    • passive caustic wounds: 20% + 5% of target's missing health as bonus magic damage.
    • Q Icathian Rain Bonus wave clear damage @ 100 bonus AD
    • W Void Seeker 3 plasma stacks (for her passive) @ 100 AP, also notice the huge scaling of +150% total AD + 65% total AP as magic damage.
    • E Supercharge invisibility @ 100% AS and bonus AS of +80%
    • R Killer Instinct it's fairly subtle compared to her other abilities but a 3 second shield of 200% total AD + 75% total AD seems stronger than Shen's ulti and less cooldown :|

Notice how most of the damage is as bonus magic damage so you might even push in a little Magic penetration or reduction or the other thing from Void Staff.

If you go for a standard adc build, then you are going to lose out on the bonus effect of her Void Seeker because that is the way to get her passive into play.

Don't know if she'll be as impactful in a adc role as she would be in a jungle or mid lane role because, her ultimate Killer Instinct allows for roam because even cc can create a plasma stack which means she can dash to the enemy using it, not sure how Supercharge's invisibility will play a role in this too. But target access and roam screams mid lane and jungle ganks.

Remeber the poro king game mode, shoot the poro and decide to dash to enemy hit or not, that's basically what you'd want to do with Void Seeker and Killer Instinct.
