League of Legends (LoL) Question: What Should I Add?

    What Should I Add?

    Hey everyone, I'm fairly new to mobafire & guide making in general. I used to coach people here and there & also do some *cough* boosting on the side but never really got into guide making.

    I made a guide for Warwick the other day & I was wondering if anyone can take a look and give me ideas on what else to add? Thanks

    What I miss in guides is generally WHY the writer advises something.

    When I look into an champ I dont go to mobafire or whatever other sites there are but I look at a site like for example op.gg to get a quick overview on what skills I should max, general runes to take and the core items I should get.
    But when I visit an guide I want to get actual information instead of reading trough a long post that is basicly the same info that op.gg gives me.

    An quick example with your guide;

    You say get Tiamad first then boots, instead of getting the 650 jg item first.
    But you dont include WHY, it cant be for waveclear as your obviously jungling and playing an jg that has pretty good clear anyway, and on top of that you can get Bami's cinder for better jg clearing aswell as more hp.
    Maybe its for aa resets? I dont know and I dont have the ability to look into your head, so it leaves me completly guessing as to why you chose this route.

    Sorry if this sounds a bit harsh but I am trying to make a point, which is that alot of guides give information without offering knowledge.

    There is no real use for me to use the guide if I dont actualy become smarter for reading it.
    Because like I said alot of guides feel like an op.gg page that is dragged out instead of offering detailed information and reasoning why things are done the way they are done.

    +1 This greatly improves the quality of your guide in my opinion and helps people to understand the champ and apply what they learn to new situations

    Detailed matchups. That's the main thing I'm looking for in a guide. Figuring out item build/skill build isn't hard but knowing matchups takes a lot of experience.

    You could make a chapter to go more in-depth into the runes you take and a chapter where you give more details about each specific match-up.
