Doublelift played Ezreal a couple of times in the tournament and he rushed the bloodthirster then started stacking the tear. Seemed to work for him when he got a pen"

"Since trydamere is a late game powerhouse, I would personally go with the armour pen runes simply because they outscale the flat ad marks quite quickly.
Plus you can "usually' rely on crit damage for a majority of your early game in trades. Also, a lot of tryndamere's I see build Bla"

It is just that in most situations they have other items that scale better.
Draven's q and ulti just happened to scale ridiculously well with flat ad, and that is what the bloodthirster does best!"
