Passive: Double Beat: Alexis' Auto Attack is divided into two separate attacks that strike the same target simultaneously. Each attack deals half the Base AD and half the Bonus AD. On-hit Effects, Critical Strikes, Critical Damage, and Lifesteal apply as normal to each part of the attack.

(Active): Alexis charges her cannon with percussive energy, causing her next autoattack to deal magic damage plus 20/40/60/80/100 additional magic damage. This ability resets the autoattack timer.

(Passive): Alexs' basic attacks deal bonus magic damage.
Bonus On-hit Magic Damage: 10/15/20/25/30 (+30% AP) (+25/30/35/40/45% AD)

*Note: the W Passive is Spellvamp-able. The Auto Attack Reset turns the entire attack into magic damage that is Spellvamp-able.
*Note: Bass Cannon can critically strike, but bonus damage from the skill is not amplified.



E: Wub Wave: CD: 10/10/10/10/10 Seconds Mana Cost: 60/65/70/75/80
(Active): Alexis drops the bass on all enemies in a 50º cone in front of her, dealing magic damage, reducing their Armor and Magic Resist by 4/8/12/16/20% and afflicting all units with Grievous Wounds for 1.5 seconds. The debuff duration can be extended by striking debuffed targets with auto attacks and abilities to a total of 4.5 Seconds.

Alexis' Backstory

Alexis is a Piltover musician and a tinkerer. While searching through an abandoned warehouse for parts for a new instrument, Alexis found a mysterious artifact that wobbled and shook. Curious, she took the artifact back to her workshop and examined it. She found out that its oscillation generated its own seemingly endless energy. The artifact began to spin on its own and quickly gathered speed. Lightning arced from the whirling artifact. ZAP! Alexis was struck by one of the bolts of electricity, her heart stopped and she fell unconscious to the floor.

Everything disappeared as she was enveloped in darkness. At first, Alexis felt and heard and saw nothing in the velvety blackness. Gradually, pin pricks of light appeared all around like twinkling stars. These stars shook, each one resonated a different note that echoed throughout the infinity she was floating in. The humming stars were weaving she later called the 'Music of Life'. She was in awe of the unimaginably bombastic sounds that flowed through her. In this trance she saw the design for the perfect...

ZAP! Alexis was jolted back to life inside the workshop next to the spinning artifact. Grasping the artifact and bringing it to a stop, Alexis found out that she was unaffected by the electricity it emitted. She felt alive like she never had before, but the feeling of joy she had experienced in her trance was ebbing away. Despair overtook her at the thought of being unable to experience the Music of Life again until inspiration struck Alexis. Etched into her mind's eye was the design for the perfect musical instrument that could play the song she desired.

Using the artifact as a power source, Alexis carefully created, modified, and tuned the instrument tirelessly over many months. Alexis tried playing the instrument and though it sounded beautiful, she discovered it only played a facet of the Music of Life. Alexis tried to amplify the music by making the instrument bigger and bigger, each time bringing out another facet of the Music. At last she had perfected the humongous instrument! As she played it and listened, Alexis could hear the Music of Life in all its booming splendor. She fell into a trance as the ground around her began to shake vigorously to the thundering of the Music. Outside of her workshop, a great stone building crashed and Alexis was awoken from her reverie. With great anguish, she ripped the artifact from the instrument and the Music of Life stopped. Though she succeeded in creating the perfect instrument, she had also created a sonic weapon that could raze cities. Summoners from the Institute of War swiftly arrived at her workshop and confiscated the artifact that powered the instrument.

Alexis has joined the League's ranks in order to prove herself worthy and to gain access to the artifact, if only on the fields of Justice. Now she can blast both her music and any obstacles in her path.

Post Script: My idea behind Alexis was to create a Ranged AP/AD Hybrid Champion who truly needed both Ability Power and Attack Damage in order to deal damage. Riot has not made a true Hybrid in a while, and I wanted to see if I could make a viable Champion using this concept. I designed her kit to be inefficient with Critical Strikes on purpose. If you want sustain, you need to buy Spellvamp. Alexis is a medium range, Damage per Second APC/ADC. The theme of her kit is inspired by dubstep, steampunk, 'Back to the Future', Nikola Tesla, Half Life, and absurdly large weapons (Bass Cannon).

Passive: Her passive is very unique and she utilizes On-hit effects from items very well, essentially at double the efficiency any other champion could. This synergizes with her W Passive.
Q: Single Target Nuke plus speed/slow utility. Alexis has only one slow in her kit and it can only affect one champion at a time. This will give her a small amount of mobility.
W: By making the Auto Reset convert the entire attack into Magic Damage, this means she scales better with Spellvamp than she does with Lifesteal. For reference, Mordekaiser's Q and Poppy's Q have the same mechanic. Her Spellvamp-able On-hit effect Passive on this ability allows her to Spellvamp on the magic damage portion of Auto Attacks in between resets.
E: Wave clear plus utility. The grievous wounds effect will allow her to fight ADCs for short periods of time, similar to Miss Fortune. The AR/MR % Reduction gives her better scaling into Lategame and the option to go either full AP or AD or AP/AD Hybrid without sacrificing too much damage; more versatility. The damage on this portion of the kit is lowered due to the good scaling on her Q and W.
