Riot surprised me with a chance in build path for 
Banshee's Veil, and you guys know how much i don't like an item witout options so i'll bring two suggestions today. (Also, Ohmwrecker was so funny while it had catalyst on it's formula, but Ryze was op). However, I'm betting Riot plans on some kind of makeshift removal of catalyst.
Sword of Eras
Recipe:
Catalyst the Protector + Pickaxe + 825g = 2900g
+40AD
+350 HP
+350 Mana
Passive: This item gains 20 HP, 20 mana and 2 AD every minute, up to 10 times.
Unique Passive – Valor's Reward: On leveling up, restores 200 health and 200 mana over 10 seconds.
Unique Active - Ancient Craft: Gain 10% armor penetration for 7 seconds (60 second CD).
As you can see, simply an AD counterpart to Rod of Ages. I was reluctant to give it 50 AD base since it gives already a hefty amount of HP in total.
Ageless Bulwark
Recipe:
Catalyst the Protector + Null-Magic Mantle + Emblem of Valor + 750g = 3000g
+325 HP
+325 Mana
+25 Armor
+25 Mres
Unique Aura - Rejuvenation: Allies in range have +15 HP regen /5sec.
Unique Active - All currently living minions gain +10 MS, +70% AS and deal 3 extra damage to enemy minions (300 second CD).
And Pheyniex has gone wild...!!! ALL HAIL Teleport and Stand United!
Actually, a more selfish aura item, even though the aura itself seems a bit generous to me. I am not sure the active cd is long enough, but the idea is there. Also thought about making the next wave only to get the bonus, so it is basically a matter of what seems more balanced, if possible.
