"Most games I would get a Void Staff instead of that second gunblade. You need some mPen options in your guide.
I disagree on the Burning Embers vs Tenacity thing. You can get that 10 AP from runes or something instead. Tenacity is much more useful all game long.

A lot of CC.
You need coordination if you want to beat Akali in team fights. Like Trynd, you generally just need to CC her long enough to burst her down before she can do the same to you. Don't have enough CC? Get a better team "

"Malphite, Singed and Cho'Gath are my personal favorite tanks (Cho needs some AP usually). Amumu and Galio are also pretty strong."

Greater Seal of Clarity (AD carries don't usually built mp5)
Greater Glyph of Focus
Greater Quintessence of Desolation (better late game)
Otherwise just go with Searz' suggestions. AD/lvl runes suck because by the time they actually scale up to "high" leve"
