Well yeah, pretty much every ADC does a ton of AA damage, so you'll almost always get more damage out of more attack speed in laning phase especially. Late-game it's debatable, as Sivir's Q is really good poke, but do you have the mana to sustain even more Q spam?

You've got a point. I figured a more offensive rune set in the blues would work better for both of them due to

I tried mixing 4 AS into glyphs for a while last season when it was a thing but it feels very underwhelming and even though I still have the page I never use it over MR anymore. It worked best on stuff like Twitch or Vayne who directly benefit from AS anyway.
I mean if you take 6 AS glyphs you're basically just boned if you end up against a high magic damage lane, especially when you're a short range champ like Graves or Sivir.

That's why it's situational. If you're against someone like Caitlyn against Braum, you won't be taking much magic damage from him, so in lane it wouldn't hurt to have some extra attack speed. I notice it, I mean it's basically an extra quint. I don't notice the lack of MR if I'm not taking any magic damage.
Well I mean you never said anything about it being situational until just then. : ^)
It's definitely a good option if their lane has low magic damage but I think even then I'd personally prefer to have MR/lvl as long as the rest of their team has magic damage. I haven't done the math or anything but I'm like 99% sure it's a lot more gold efficient and it's fun for when their mid laner/AP top laner thinks he can one shot/duel you and you barely survive. I'm not sure which is actually better though.

Sure, but just going 9x flat MR is still going to be better the majority of the time. If you don't I feel like you're just disrespecting the enemy support's damage. Which is justified sometimes of course.

Well I kinda insinuated it.
Quoted:
If you want offense in your glyphs you should take attack speed, 6 of them give you nearly a quint's worth of attack speed.
I run full MR like 90% of the time, but I like using the AS page whenever I get a chance.
You're right that MR is more cost/slot efficient, but AS can help you in situations where magic resist isn't useful at all. There's also the fact that auto-attacking faster means you'll have an easier time dodging skillshots between auto-attacks. Not that I'm advocating AS over MR, but I think it has its uses.
