This is much like dream analysis, except the one asking the question is using concrete images rather than letting the one being questioned to describe one of their own dreams. So the cube of mine is opaque, but I honestly don't feel as if my mind is closed to other people; I've always been forthcoming with what's on my mind at most depths provided that people are interested enough to hear it. It is quite large and I would guess that I have the ego to match it. I feel the ladder is an inappropriate representation to use of friends, because a ladder is innately a tool to me, whereas friends are not. I do not feel friends are something that either solely lean on me or are something to be stepped on to get to somewhere (which is what an interpretation of my scene may depict to some). The horse is a good metaphor for companionship in my case. A relationship of mutual support where we play and grow together. The flowers - children are probably a far off thing for me, since I'm still quite young and there's no real prospective spouse in sight, let alone children. However, if I do have children, I want them to be happy and love life. They would be precious to me and I would hope them to thrive. Storm - there are actually things currently bothering me and then even bigger things ahead of me that absolutely terrify me. I am always afraid of the future and what it will bring; that it might mess up what I have now.[/spoiler][/quote]

It seems to me like you used the help of the ladder to get up which is what it's supposed to represent. The fact that you get up by stepping on it I think isn't very important and/or meaningful, since we have no other way to use ladders :'D The ladder is also resting on the cube, which means your friends are close to you and can depend on your support. By being simple and wooden, it shows that it is firm and stable but not needlessly complex. You might've used it as a tool, but it also uses you (the cube) as support. Its a mutual exchange sort of thing I'd say. Just felt like it's actually a pretty good way to represent things and I can't really think of anything that could represent friends better in this situation. [/spoiler][/quote]

It is buried in sand, with only half of it being visible. The ripples from the cube sometimes cover it up with more sand and other times "brush" it away. It seems quite larger than the cube, although the length is impossible to tell. It seems to be made of old, antique wood that has been preserved through the ages. It looks like it was preserved in tree wax or something similar (transparent with a brown tint that protects wood from deteriorating). There seems to be an unexplained shadow cast upon it, then, at other times, the ladder is much lighter. Probably alluding to the repetitive movement of the object casting the shadow. I cannot recognize the shape of the shadow's caster as of yet.[/size] [nextcol width=20] [nextcol]Your friendship group is large and may even be larger than you initially expected. Many of your friends are those you have had for a long time, friendships that you have nurtured and protected. You spend countless hours ensuring your friends are protected from any hardship. If we take my original viewpoint, it is going from the right bottom of the field of view towards the upper right, in a diagonal line. It is walking very slowly, and seems tired. It's a black horse with a brown saddle, and a long mane sort of dropping to one side (the side I am viewing it from). As I change my point of view, the shadow shape becomes clear(er). It is a sort of hot air balloon shape, although the details are still smudgy. One detail to note, the horse does not sink into the sand. In-fact, it walks over it as if it were a ghost, showing no apparent gravity pull.[/size] [nextcol width=20] [nextcol]The path of your horse could indicate a partner who enters your life when you are down, and when she/he leaves, you are happy (direction from bottom to top) - this could mean many things: she/he helps you through a difficult time and then leaves you or maybe before you met her/him you didn't know what happiness was and when she/he exits you life, it may be because your life has finished on a happy note. However, this is an ordeal for your partner. They will be burdened by their duty to you. They are part of an oasis. They are similar to lotus flowers, but have a longer body and two leaves each. They are colored in multiple variants of purple. Or someone close to you - someone so close to you that when given a blank slate to project yourself on, you include them in the form of a palm tree. It is compromised of extremely dark, almost black, clouds. It is entirely blocking off the sun, although light still passes through. It has completely eliminated the shadow which was once cast upon the ladder, and the rain seems to be affecting the ladder. The horse remains entirely unphased, walking towards his original destination. The cube repels the raindrops, and continues floating. The storm does not reach the flowers or the oasis in general. There are occasional lightning strikes. The strom is right above the cube and is focused mainly in that area.[/size] [nextcol width=20] [nextcol]The storm is the shadow. You perceived this threat long before the mention of a storm. As mentioned above, your partner is unaffected by things that happen in your life that affect others - he/she will be by your side, walking you through the worst of what's to come.[/columns][/spoiler] Just my initial thoughts. Perhaps he/she will be caught up in the storm, and perhaps it is the storm that causes her/him to leave. The flowers being most affected - perhaps they mourn for the loss of a parent. You and your friends are unaffected by the storm - this could be because they are so removed from you that they don't care, or that they knew something was coming. In my mind, I see this as a break-up, where you keep the children and it's something that you've prepared yourself for, for so long that it has no psychological impact.
