@jhoi I laughed at the "royal pain in the bum" part. And lots of people seem to be thinking of wooden ladders even though they're probably the least used. Weird.

Cube - it is white (or light blue) and opaque. Large enough for me to sit on without my feet touching the ground. The desert is endless in all directions, perhaps some mountains in the distance.
Ladder - it is leaning against the cube; it is how I got up onto the cube. It is simple and wooden.
Horse - it is brown with a black mane and not a large horse. It is wild yet affectionate, playful but not antagonistic. I take care of her and she takes care of me.
Flowers - Truthfully, I don't feel as if flowers fit into the picture; they feel out of place in a desert. But when I do imagine the flowers, they are vibrant and are composed of many colours. The desert turns into a meadow sported by these colourful flowers.
Storm - It is far away, but I fear it coming towards me. It is something terrifying to me and I know I cannot outrun it if it turned to me.

Well, things like this have its place in some experimental psychotherapy and counselling, with some documented success and some failures in pretty much equal measure. Its use is not necessarily appropriate for use on all clients and interpretation of it from patient and therapist alike can differ quite widely (though both can offer insight). This is much like dream analysis, except the one asking the question is using concrete images rather than letting the one being questioned to describe one of their own dreams.
So the cube of mine is opaque, but I honestly don't feel as if my mind is closed to other people; I've always been forthcoming with what's on my mind at most depths provided that people are interested enough to hear it. It is quite large and I would guess that I have the ego to match it.
I feel the ladder is an inappropriate representation to use of friends, because a ladder is innately a tool to me, whereas friends are not. I do not feel friends are something that either solely lean on me or are something to be stepped on to get to somewhere (which is what an interpretation of my scene may depict to some).
The horse is a good metaphor for companionship in my case. A relationship of mutual support where we play and grow together.
The flowers - children are probably a far off thing for me, since I'm still quite young and there's no real prospective spouse in sight, let alone children. However, if I do have children, I want them to be happy and love life. They would be precious to me and I would hope them to thrive.
Storm - there are actually things currently bothering me and then even bigger things ahead of me that absolutely terrify me. I am always afraid of the future and what it will bring; that it might mess up what I have now.

I feel like I have to comment on the ladder analogy. It seems to me like you used the help of the ladder to get up which is what it's supposed to represent. The fact that you get up by stepping on it I think isn't very important and/or meaningful, since we have no other way to use ladders :'D
The ladder is also resting on the cube, which means your friends are close to you and can depend on your support. By being simple and wooden, it shows that it is firm and stable but not needlessly complex.
You might've used it as a tool, but it also uses you (the cube) as support. Its a mutual exchange sort of thing I'd say.
Just felt like it's actually a pretty good way to represent things and I can't really think of anything that could represent friends better in this situation.

First off I'd like to say I really love psychological analyses in unclear situations like this because I always had trouble identifying what I actually believed and what I wanted to ideally become when taking personality tests.
As for the notes, I thought this was for personal clarity so mine may sound a bit chunky

1. Cube: Small cube around the size of a stone, you can see the insides but it's murky and sandy, middle of desert plains, floating slightly above ground
2. Ladder: height around 5x cube, width 2x cube, wooden ladder, left of the cube, standing on its own
3. Horse: brown horse, medium size, eating grass in an oasis to the right of the cube and ladder
4. Flowers: Three daisies left of horse, left of the grass being eaten, right of the cube
5. Storm: Thunderstorm, above oasis, doesnt affect anything

The cube is a sort of rubix cube consisting of solely dark shades of purple, blue and then there's lots of variants of grey and some black creeping up on the squares. It seems like either the cube was dipped in black paint/oil or it was made to be unsolvable. It's very tiny, in fact barely visible unless you zoom in. It is in the dead centre of my viewpoint, although I can't tell whether or not that's the centre of the desert. If anything, it seems like there is a palm tree far far behind it on the left, I suppose alluding to an Oasis. The cube is floating over the sand, and causing sort of waves, or rather, ripples in the sand. | There's a lot of information to go through here. Your description of the cube suggests you are very sure of yourself, or that you are very reflective of your own nature. You mention that your cube is like a Rubix cube - depending on how much the cube has been solved could indicate how complete you are as a person. The onset of grey and oily black matter creeping across the squares may represent unease with your current perception of yourself, or that something is slowly taking over and changing you. The size of the cube suggests that your ego or self worth is quite little, especially compared with the world around you. The cube floating pairs with the black substance - something is changing, and you're not aware of it, perhaps because it is so subtle. |
There is a ladder lying slightly in-front of the cube, seeming to be on the left side according to my viewpoint. It is buried in sand, with only half of it being visible. The ripples from the cube sometimes cover it up with more sand and other times "brush" it away. It seems quite larger than the cube, although the length is impossible to tell. It seems to be made of old, antique wood that has been preserved through the ages. It looks like it was preserved in tree wax or something similar (transparent with a brown tint that protects wood from deteriorating). There seems to be an unexplained shadow cast upon it, then, at other times, the ladder is much lighter. Probably alluding to the repetitive movement of the object casting the shadow. I cannot recognize the shape of the shadow's caster as of yet. | Your friendship group is large and may even be larger than you initially expected. Many of your friends are those you have had for a long time, friendships that you have nurtured and protected. You spend countless hours ensuring your friends are protected from any hardship. You could almost say that you are a main reason why the friendship pool is so large - you put in a lot of effort to keep these friendships going. Perhaps even more effort than is necessary, maybe so much so that you neglect yourself for these friendships. You may even be losing some of yourself to keep these friendships going. |
The horse appears outside of my original viewpoint ( I changed perspectives on the scene when I imagined the horse). If we take my original viewpoint, it is going from the right bottom of the field of view towards the upper right, in a diagonal line. It is walking very slowly, and seems tired. It's a black horse with a brown saddle, and a long mane sort of dropping to one side (the side I am viewing it from). As I change my point of view, the shadow shape becomes clear(er). It is a sort of hot air balloon shape, although the details are still smudgy. One detail to note, the horse does not sink into the sand. In-fact, it walks over it as if it were a ghost, showing no apparent gravity pull. | The path of your horse could indicate a partner who enters your life when you are down, and when she/he leaves, you are happy (direction from bottom to top) - this could mean many things: she/he helps you through a difficult time and then leaves you or maybe before you met her/him you didn't know what happiness was and when she/he exits you life, it may be because your life has finished on a happy note. However, this is an ordeal for your partner. They will be burdened by their duty to you. They will never give up on you, they are not restricted to the other concerns of people, they will always be by your side, but they are saddled by you. |
The flowers appear next to the palm tree. They are part of an oasis. They are similar to lotus flowers, but have a longer body and two leaves each. They are colored in multiple variants of purple. Only two are immediately evident and in focus whilst the others span out outside of my field of view. In other words, I am able to identify a few but cannot give out a definite number. | The two children are healthy; they are sound in body, sound in mind and supported in their lives by access to food and water. Considering the lotus emphasis, there seems to be hints of Asian tradition - grace, beauty - coupled with the purple, these children will have rich lives. Perhaps these are not your children, but a relative's. Or someone close to you - someone so close to you that when given a blank slate to project yourself on, you include them in the form of a palm tree. This person is clearly someone you've had with you your whole life and you think about them constantly. |
There is a storm. It is compromised of extremely dark, almost black, clouds. It is entirely blocking off the sun, although light still passes through. It has completely eliminated the shadow which was once cast upon the ladder, and the rain seems to be affecting the ladder. The horse remains entirely unphased, walking towards his original destination. The cube repels the raindrops, and continues floating. The storm does not reach the flowers or the oasis in general. There are occasional lightning strikes. The strom is right above the cube and is focused mainly in that area. | The storm is the shadow. You perceived this threat long before the mention of a storm. As mentioned above, your partner is unaffected by things that happen in your life that affect others - he/she will be by your side, walking you through the worst of what's to come. |
Just my initial thoughts. Take what you will. Don't take it too seriously.

Cube - It's... a cube. It's fairly small, barely bigger than a Rubix cube. It's made out of steel. It's just sitting there in the middle of the desert. | You think of yourself as average; you are just you, you. Your ego suffers as a result; in fact, when compared with a relatively small object, you claim that the cube is only barely bigger - you measure yourself against people constantly, always seeking to improve yourself, but at the same time, putting yourself down. However, the material of the cube suggests strength - you've steeled yourself from this constant barrage of yourself. You are durable, you will stand the test of time, you will not break. You say "sitting" - you've personified the cube, given an inanimate object human actions. As such, you can conclude that your personality is relaxed and can be creative. The position of the cube suggests that the creative side of you is not as large as the rational you - you are grounded in reality. |
Ladder - It's made out of wood. It's about the size of your average ladder. It's pretty close to the cube, to the right, stood up. I have no idea how I noticed the cube befor ethe ladder. | Your friendships are sturdy but can deteriorate. Your have neither more nor less friends as the average person, and the friendships you have are neither deep nor shallow - they are merely average. However, you hold these friendships close to you, they mean a lot to you, but you are still distanced from the friendships. Your friends don't rely on you and you don't rely on your friends. This distance could be physical or mental - perhaps the ladder represents the friend group you have online - always there, but never there. Sometimes you feel overwhelmed by your friend group, sometimes you get lost in the crowd, or at least feel that way. |
Horse - It's brown. It enters my vision from my right as it just walks ahead, walking past the cube and the ladder. It doesn't seem to be going anywhere specific, just walking ahead. | Your partner will lead you further and further away from your friends and you will always be chasing her/him. There may not even be a specific destination in mind, but the decision is yours on whether to follow - but judging from his/her path, this opportunity only happens once. |
Flowers - There's 2 flowers. They have a yellow center and red petals. They're in front of the cube and the ladder, diagonally to the left from the cube. | Your children are your link to your friends, or, their placement symbolises that they are more important to you than yourself, your friends or your partner. The red in this case can represent passion, love, or anger - all reasonable feelings to associate with children. The yellow, as the center, could indicate love or happiness radiating from them, blessing those who meet them. Your partner is clearly not in this picture, however. |
Storm - It's far, it's headed towards us. It affects the flowers most of all, the horse will probably survive it and it won't affect the cube or the ladder. | The storm is headed towards "us"; here you've mentioned the horse, despite it's journey away from you. Perhaps he/she will be caught up in the storm, and perhaps it is the storm that causes her/him to leave. The flowers being most affected - perhaps they mourn for the loss of a parent. You and your friends are unaffected by the storm - this could be because they are so removed from you that they don't care, or that they knew something was coming. In my mind, I see this as a break-up, where you keep the children and it's something that you've prepared yourself for, for so long that it has no psychological impact. Maybe because you don't believe you deserve any better. |
As above. Just my own personal analysis. Don't take it too seriously.

The yellow, as the center, could indicate love or happiness radiating from them, blessing those who meet them. Your partner is clearly not in this picture, however.[/columns]

[nextcol]The storm is headed towards "us"; here you've mentioned the horse, despite it's journey away from you. Maybe because you don't believe you deserve any better.[/columns][/spoiler]
As above. Just my own personal analysis. Don't take it too seriously.
