S5 Ranked: One Way Ticket to Hell

Yeah, that confused me. Anyway, that in itself wouldn't have been a huge issue if not for the fact that [[Lee Sin]] happened to be level 2 ganking us roughly 5 seconds after we started fighting, so we ended up getting double killed by [[Nami]]. Because of the missed experience and the wave settling in a bad spot for us, the rest of the lane was pretty rough after this and it wasn't until teamfights that I was actually able to contribute to our eventual success. Game 2: While I got pretty ahead in this lane initially (after some early [[Pantheon]] ganks), things turned sour for us quite fast as our mid lane lost hard and the enemy [[Fizz]] & [[Udyr]] repeatedly ganked top to gain control of the upper half of the map. Once they cleared both front towers and started placing wards in our jungle, they were pretty much allowed to do whatever they wanted. The [[Ezreal]] was also extremely negative in chat and didn't play nearly as well as his score might suggest, so this game was pretty hopeless. Game 3: Laned with an actual support main this time around, and boy oh boy did that make a difference. The only real worry in this game was the [[Fizz]] getting First Blood, but luckily he didn't start snowballing after that and other lanes were doing well. Also managed to get my first champion to mastery level 4 because of this game :) Made it back to plat II.[/quote]

Instead, I played two of the most frustrating games I've played in a long time, with the first one being especially bad. Not only is laning vs [[Nasus]] both boring [i]and[/i] frustrating as [[Irelia]] (it's one of her worst matchups imo), it was also followed by our team needlessly throwing a huge lead by constantly trying to go for more kills rather than picking the safe option and securing objectives. [[Nasus]] was also randomly allowed to splitpush top lane all the way to our inhibitor before anyone reacted, allowing them to put pressure on us in our base and eventually end the game. I noticed I was tilting pretty hard near the end of that game, and things didn't get much better in the next one as the enemy ADC [[Ezreal]] (quite randomly) got ridicilously fed and carried the game with a 17-2 score. I considered calling it a day after this, but because the third time's supposed to be the charm I decided against that, and luckily that decision paid off. We won the next two games rather convincingly, and although the final (highlighted) game was a pretty big struggle (mainly due to [[Varus]] clearly not being an ADC main) I actually managed to get back to my promos, making it a successful day overall.[/quote]

First game made me really salty because I've never before played the [[Kennen]] - [[Irelia]] matchup as well as I did in that game (got a solo kill and her first tower while being up ~20 cs), yet she still got ridiculously fed during the mid game. Joxuu had some successful ganks but couldn't compensate for the other lanes being pretty far behind. I followed that up with a game which I'm kinda proud of, simply because I held my own in the mid lane and played the teamfight phase pretty well (cs needs work though). In the final game, our lane turned from being pretty rough to pretty successful as I managed to snowball ahead in the mid game. Unfortunately, [[Nunu]] and [[Hecarim]] were already quite tanky at this point so I basically needed [[Last Whisper]], [[Blade of the Ruined King]] and [[Quicksilver Sash]] (for [[Ashe]]/[[Nunu]]) at the same time. Should've probably never even started building towards a [[The Bloodthirster]], that might've made a difference. Pretty intense game after we had a really boring farm lane, we overstayed as a team a couple of times and got punished for it, but ultimately we were too far ahead for them to really compete.[/quote]
