yeah, those pvp only characters can be empty starts or they have a pre-built for each class which has a good assortment of gems and gear, though the gems and gear can only be thrown away, never sold nor modified.

It doesn't matter too much what class you pick. It only defines your starting point in the skill tree, nothing else.
