"I saw [Twilight: Eclipse] in theaters with a girl I was dating at the time. I spent more time staring at my toes and wiggling them than I did watching this abomination. When Edward proposed to Blank Face, I finally looked up with a revelation.
I blurted out loud, in a dead silent theater full of teenage girls on opening night "Wait a minute, Edward has no blood flow. How does he get an erection?" I heard several men laughing, and had several girls turn and stare at me.
I did not get laid that night." - Berengier817

If anything, I would say that Sony proved that nostalgia blindness is bad for consumers. They didn't have to pay into the kickstarter. But, they did based purely on nostalgia and that's something they have to live with. That buying into something with pure nostalgia in mind is not good for the gamer, or the game industry.

I'm just saying, if companies took a page from Sony and released a constant string of new and exciting I.P's. The gaming industry would be a much better place than it is now. I do Game Design in my spare time when I'm not playing League, I know you can't get to crazy with your imagination. But, how is it good for business to keep making the same thing? While having too much imagination is risky, but not having enough holds the business back.
And what games have you made?
Exactly, discount bin fish adventure games that I've probably played.

Also, I think the levels of immorality in this thread are astounding. You'd really throw a child off a boat for your own luggage? Wow.

Game where you kill AMV zombie hybrids by overheating them with a flamethrower.

Oh my. It is a rare thing to see you write something reasonable.
Nice comment. I'll definitely agree to that.

Problem with this entire argument is that the words "good" or "bad" are subjective. Every one has differing opinions and tastes. Some people will let more flaws slide than others. Those flaws may not even be flaws to some. Something that is perceived as a good thing could be bad to some others.
That's why I think it's stupid to complain or argue about games in general.

So you're pulling the "opinion" card..
Of course some will be more accepting of the flaws, but if opinion is ignored and flaws are measured objectively then negative trends could probably be measured if the industry goes in the wrong direction.
Your point is ********.

Woow, are you serious? You're pretty much calling yourself stupid, and in more ways than one.
Just stop the silliness..

I realize that I, as a mistake making human being, cannot always create 100% fullproof arguments, but my points and intentions are merely from a veiwpoint of the gaming community mostly being angry, self entitled, and whiny.
A lot of your posts starting off this thread illustrate this fact perfectly. People like you are witch hunters, the video game industry being the witch. And as time has shown before, witches aren't a real thing and you'll likely feel silly wasting so much time chastising something that wasn't actually your enemy.
When it comes to openly complaining about video games or making such negative statements about the people who create them, I assume that you A. have nothing better to do, or B. genuinely do not enjoy many things.
Edit: And yes, I myself, hhave nothing better to do than to argue with you about something stupid, if that wasn't glaringly obvious.

That's a pretty presumptuous thing to assume. You're essentially pushing your own opinion on others. Not to mention pushing opinion/interpretation over objective fact.
You really can't claim that "most" are this way. You could claim that many are, as it's a loose definition, but to claim them to be a majority is just silly.
You'll need a lot of evidence to successfully make claims such as these, otherwise they simply fall terribly flat.
There certainly are "witch hunters", but I'm definitely not one of them. I may be negative toward many things, but I believe negativity fosters improvement if done in a constructive way. And this has been proven correct time and time again, so it would be pretty silly to argue against it.

A. Is the fallacy of relative privation. Please stop being stupid..
It also assumes that what is being done is automatically bad/pointless. That's a pretty silly statement to make seeing as you just pulled the opinion card on me, trying to invalidate my use of similar terminology.
B. Is covered pretty well in the first part of my comment.

Right.

Just stop..
Liking something is not the same thing as being blind to its faults. Don't commit logical fallacies.
I hate that saying. It's used as an excuse for creative bankruptcy. It's a really stupid saying.
If they took a page from Sony they'd all be abusing their customers through shady campaigns.
Let's not ignore their faults.
