Yes, I always get mid, or the 1v2 lane if need be. Vlad should never duo lane due to his reliance on rank 5 Transfusion.

I agree that Boots of Lucidity are very fun to play with, and I often get them if I notice the enemy team isn't getting too much MR. However, Sorcerer's Shoes are almost required if you plan on dealing any damage against an MR-heavy team. A Q that hits like a pillow every 1.5 seconds is still just hitting like a pillow. :P

Ive looked at the build and read the comments and crazy smurf made alot of good points i think you should re-evaluate the guide and maybe switch things out, there seem to be alot of items that could be switched out. I myself try to take a 1v2 lane as vlad or mid every time i play him and depending upon the team we play against i do sometimes like to start with a tome and then immediatly get ionian boots because by the time you gets it you will still be laning and be using your Transfusion quite often, by level 9 your cooldown will be so low that by the time your Transfusion has ended you will have it again. IMO i enjoy this because you start really switching lanes around level 10 or 11 and this alows you maybe to get a few kills by then.

Ha, you know what? I started writing this guide a while ago and completely forgot to update that part. One of the unfortunate nerfs to Vlad. Thanks for pointing that out! I'll fix that up immediately. :)

Yes, I was meaning by walking around with another WoTA. I generally only play with friends and always have them get it, ha. Plus, I tend to stick with my team by the time I get WoTA. By that time it's kinda' late and teams start moving as groups.

Hmm, I've never had success myself doing that. When I started playing Vlad I did that and it usually killed me, because I didn't have the escape. I'll try that combo out later tonight, though. Maybe since I've gotten better with Vlad I'll have different results. :)

Any other item suggestions? I never like SV myself, but I always used it because it seemed so perfect for him. Now after 2 nerfs, I'm more than willing to change it. I've been thinking of Morello's Evil Tome, for AP and 20% CDR. Other ideas? Would love to get it out of the build. :P

Thanks for the feedback, too!

Healing Received: 17.5 / 28.75 / 40 / 51.25 / 62.5 (+0.25 per ability power)
I'm not sure where you got that 200-300 Heals from Transfusion itself, really.
The max damage healing is 62.5 + 0.25x500=180 + ~110 from Spell Vamp is 300 healing + 15% from Spirit Visage giving you 345 Heal.

PS: I have counted it with Transfusion hitting for 550.
And by the way, 40% Spell Vamp? From where, if I may ask? All you get is 20% Spell Vamp from Will of the Ancients and 15% Increased Healing from Spirit Visage. Your option works with another WoTA user only, so basically, not on Vlad, as he is a single nuker, wiping everyone by himself.

DO NOT INITIATE WITH THIS ABILITY. It makes me laugh when I see a Vlad use this for the damage. This thing is a middle finger to any ability your enemy throws at you, so WHY would you use it for damage? Save it for when they throw their ult at you, dodge it, and laugh as you rape them.

@up: Every High ELO Vladimir would tell you Hemoplague->ToB->Sanguine them is almost a certain death in a team fight, they can't hit you, you keep on hitting them and waiting for your Hemofriend to destroy them.

I don't want to be stingy, WoTA is by far my basic item on Vladimir, and I get first with Boots, it's just too underrated by many Vladimir players. Once you get Rabadon and this item, you will be immortal and able to be right back on the battlefight. Also, how many times it outranked all that chasers, hard to count. Spirit Visage is just... a waste IMO. Low AP (which Vlad needs like stupid for his skills), only a bit of not really usable MR (at least, may because I play with 9/21/0 and MR Glyphs). Later, it's a wasted spot, giving you nothing really.
