They're not really terrible, but nobody really plays them anymore.

Zac: 4.06% play rate as jungle, rank 19/46
Trundle: 8.24% play rate as top, rank 4/58
Zilean: 2.22% play rate as support, 1.18% play rate as mid, in the lower third of mids and supports

I'll give you that Zilean is a little underplayed (though he's also fairly difficult to master), but the other two are far from unpopular.

That play rate top actually kind of surprised me.
I'd expect champions like Poppy, Nautilus, Fiora, Graves, and Malphite to be way higher pick rate than trundle though clearly that's not the case

Trundle is also a multirole champion. I guess a few of the champs listed above are as well though.
