The guide was very dear to my heart but since the summer mage updates, I've failed to make a single change. With the emergence of Embracing's "Mid-Lane Veigar" guide, I can sleep soundly at night knowing the best Veigar guide on Mobafire wasn't created by some silver scrub.
New opportunities to reach Veigar internet fame have risen, it's time to move on but I won't forget all the wonderful trolling this site has bestowed upon me over the years.

No offense but your guide didn't have 0 downvotes, in fact it had enough downvotes that it wasn't even in the top 3 Veigar guides.
Still, what you've accomplished throughout your guide's lifetime has certainly been an achievement, so congratulations on that, and good luck in your endeavours outside of MOBAFire.

Increase the font size a bit too as it might be considered the focus for your banner. Just some thoughts.

Yeah, I got rid of the border, since it was looking weird to me... I am also too noob in image editing to change the colours of specific elements, so I changed the text entirely. Here's the new one:

Good news and bad news. I figured out how to use the Colour Replacement tool. Very useful, I wish I had discovered it earlier xD
Bad news, the texts looks kind of weird and hard to read in the area you mentioned. Don't know... will experiment a bit more, but I am happy with the current version.

The shadow actually makes it readable. The original text had none, I guess that is why I didn't like it in the centre. It is not a custom font either, so adding a shadow to it would be a ton of work.
Here is how it looks with a custom font I installed:
