Hey dude, with all respect, these runes are very ****ing strong in all sense, just MAYBE works if you pick Lux Support for destroy or Let dying to enemy adc...

But... i would like you do an analysis similar with Lux, just using Marks, and Quints of Precision... because i have a friend who use Precision in Marks, so i dont know why... but she has 100.000 points of maestry,And that is my doubt to this day as I DON'T WANT to risk losing IP for runes I don't know

Hey man, sorry for getting back to you so late. I just moved into my first apartment and it's been hectic.

With that being said, it's great to hear you like this idea! I'm a little confused on what you mean. Does your friend take both and ? Or does she take one or the other?

Either way, I still stand by magic pen marks>precision- even without doing the math. Here's why:

1. Taking over : 9 only gives 5.58MPEN (.62 per runex9), meanwhile, gives you 7.83MPEN (.87 per rune x9). This is a whole 2.25 LESS magic penetration!! Yes, you will be getting lethality, but think about how many times you are going to auto versus how many times you use spells. You SHOULD be doing spells at LEAST 10x+ more times than autoing a champion (if you're not, you might be playing Lux ADC or Lux wrong in general because Lux is very good at poke and burst from long ranges). Also remember that her passive, does MAGIC DAMAGE! Yes, you are autoing, but the damage from the passive will only be affected by the opponents MR/your magic penetration. The only thing that applies to lethality is your puny 50 damage auto. This makes the magic penetration way better than precision runes.

2. As for taking over : It is the same idea here. The quints of precision only give you 4.2MPEN, whereas, the magic pen quints give you 6.03MPEN. This is 1.83 magic pen you will lose out on!!

Conclusion/TLDR: Magic Pen Marks/Quints > Precision Marks/Quints. I still recommend MPEN Runes over Precision runes on Lux. However, runes of precision are preference and I strongly recommend you doing what suits YOU! Sometimes in melee matchups, you will be autoing more, so taking these runes can benefit you. However, you won't have nearly as much poke or burst damage unless you are able to constantly get autos off- which is usually unlikely with Lux.

PS: Please don't take this in anyway shape or form of me trying to prove your friend wrong or say she is doing things wrong, a lot of runes are honestly more preferenced (to an extent). For example, You shouldn't be getting attack speed and attack damage on AP Lux, but taking, say, CDR over AP runes are totally okay! Preference is key.
Your friend just might have her own playstyle or might be able to auto more than a usual Lux. The only downside to her taking those runes is that if she doesn't auto a lot, she is wasting the lethality runes and not getting as much magic penetration in her runes :(

Its true that Precision give less Magic Pen (when these Runes should be balanced)

maybe her use and Improvise so Much with the Lux Runes, but her build its full Ap.

I remmember her main Acc use 20% CD Runes Prg x lv , with healt and, quints Ap and marks Precision or Magic Pen

And the other three accs just 15% CD Runes prg x Lv.

Thinking and thinking about the answer you gave me i think use this marks maybe in last hit minions (I think it's a bit likely, to know that she's been playing for a long time with ap characters and does not need that) , o just for playing Or to take advantage of giving auto attacks in trades.

Whatever the reason or any other than this, I must say that I feel very influenced by so much of her because i love her and by this style of guides that you do...

I could clearly leave as a conclusion that we could use just Magic Pen > Classic Ap runes

I would like to ask if it is better armor or healt per level if I want use lux support?

The truth is not how to raise in this situation but I would like you to do some runes for the blind pick,
I think its a very hard...but i would like u Recommend runes for Blind Pick, for all Situations (Adc with Ap Heavy / Adc with Tanks/ Adc with Heavy Ad)

I'm sure your friend just liked the precision runes for the auto damage. should help your last hitting enough.

For AP Lux in mid lane, take whatever you feel. I would recommend definitely 9 and 9 . The glyphs and quints can be your choice.
**I will recommend that you take 9 in a hard AP matchup because that MR can ensure life or death- unless you plan on buying an early .

Is the imgur link you sent for AP support? If it is, I would recommend taking over because Lux support is suppose to be dishing out some damage, but should also be supplying some support for her AD carry. The AP scales decently with her shield! However, if you go full AP Lux, those magic penetration quints work well. Also, you have no magic resist. If you don't need it because the enemy team's support doesn't do tons of magic damage, keep it. But if you are against an enemy support like or , having no magic resist can really hurt you. I would recommend at LEAST 6 runes, if not 9 when against these matchups, unless you rush for the magic resist (if you even get on support Lux).
If it's for mid, same applies. You'll most likely be against a mage, meaning they can probably burst you easy with no magic resist.

As for Lux support, I PREFERABLY use 9 , 9 , 9 , 2 and 1 . Having the armor because you will be against an ADC in bot lane and early health is REALLY good early on in laning phase, and makes your trades better. If you are against something like and , you won't need magic resist, so you can totally trade out the 9 for something like 9 .

As for a standard rune page that works up against ALL matchups (and if you only have one rune page to do so)- both as Lux AP mid or as Lux support- is by taking 9 , 9 , 9 , 3 is standard.
Adding things like 1-3 , 1-3 , 9 , 6 , and so forth is all what you prefer. If you want more information upon all that, I have an actual Lux guide that goes over everything about Lux. Not only in Lux, but also Diana, Xerath, Brand, Zyra, Kog Maw Has a strong impact on the early game

Yes, and Quints of Magic Pen actually outscale Quints of Ability Power in damage late game (the point of this guide)!

For Lux support, CDR runes/lvl aren't BAD, but let's look at the items you can buy. , and/or , , , or , , . There is PLENTY of items for a Support Lux that gives CDR- and you can only have 40%CDR max (45% if you take ) anyways- so taking CDR glyphs might be a waste, unless you prioritize items like or something that doesn't give Cooldown Reduction. Magic Resist is also just very good in the laning phase if you are against another mage support. It let's you have defense, but also be more aggressive in nature without taking loads of damage.

Yes, and those runes are up to you! If you're going more of a damage-y AP support, probably just taking 9 for the early game since you'll be against an ADC, and 9 works best. The 9 armor mixed with when you get will help with more survivability! The Magic Resist will help both against the AP support/AP mid laner/AP top/AP jungler, if they have any. This might be the only magic resist you'll have if you choose Morellonomicon over Athene's, so it is very important in the runes.

I will try to put Magic in the runes While being honest I have never put cd runes when i use lux, just blue of ap prog x level because 30 cd% are a good, but well I experienced that but using Mag Pen x cd 10 at lv 18 and wow... very perfect, I may work very well with Xerath, Brand, Zyra and Maybe Diana
These runes de Mag Pen * Cd because , if i was shocked with the how this runes ( quints pen ) are so undergorund and powerful!!!!

I still testing these way of runes with lux!!!

Thanks for the inspiration. This motivated me to do something similar for AD/Lethality, and I'm really glad I did! Turns out I was using a sub-optimal rune setup. I'd be interested to see the results if you included Marks in your analysis.

Haha I'm really glad this helped you out! I feel you, I still have the old Lifesteal in my ADC runes from like 2 seasons ago that I keep forgetting to change.
I'm a little confused about your last sentence so I'm going to try to answer it from different angles and see if I answer the one you meant. If you meant to add the MPEN marks to all of these numbers, the Magic Penetration marks actually are included in all of these graphs (which you now are able to see haha)! If you missed this, I'm sure it's because my graphs were not very visible so I completely understand!
Unless you mean taking AP Marks over MPEN marks- which I would then tell you that MPen Marks are ALWAYS better because the minimal 5AP you get is NOT worth the 7.8MPEN you get from the beginning of the game (I don't know the numbers exactly but I'm pretty sure you get more damage right from level 1 with the 7.8MPen anyways)- and this is especially important if your opponent takes magic resist in their runes or buys MR early before you can get Magic Penetration items.

Ahhh yeah I didn't realize you had included Marks in the calculations already. My fault. Graphics do look much clearer/nicer now by the way, keep up the great work. Good luck on the Rift!

I would advise trying maybe tables because your images look really blurry and the font is hard to read. There is a guide by Foxy Riven or just ask me ^^

Now the guide is quite interesting and I love maths. I think both 3 ap or 3 mpen are viable because Lux can bully early and has a relative safe early game unlike Ahri for example whose early game and range is too weak compared to other burst mages.

Yeah, I definitely think both are viable, especially after doing the numbers. I normally take 2AP and 1MS Quint (I actually have I thiiink 14 out of my 20 total runes pages just for Lux- lol oops- so every rune page has something different), but I might change it to 1AP, 1MS, and 1MPEN Quint because something as small as the 2MPEN you get from one Quint actually seems pretty effective. Lux also has natural high AP percentages from her spells, making Magic Pen a good second-go-to, unlike some other mages.

I really appreciate you reading over this and I'm glad you enjoyed it! It's still kinda WIP (my bad for hitting submit too early) but I'll work on it ASAP.
