I've never played Camille before and from what I've heard, she's a very Skill-reliant Champion so if you don't have enough practice, chances are you'll feed the enemy laner. But this guide helped me get some insight on how Camille works so I have a better chance at winning lane so thanks! XD

Glad you enjoy it! I will advise you though, if you can, try the Arcane Comet first. This is the primary one most people take, so do that if you are new. If you don't like it, then I suggest trying the runes mentioned in the guide.

Mind telling me how you deal with Teemo? since Laning phase is aids and he out farms me no matter what. getting Adaptive helm does help, but rushing it doesn't seem so good

I will agree, Adaptive Helm helps out greatly. However, like you also said, rushing it doesn't really help.

Personally? I ban him. Every (top) lane champ I play, Teemo gets banned. The blind is ridiculous and free movement speed is just the cherry on top of the hellish sundae.

Very good job indeed considering it is meant to be a beginner's guide; I still felt like sharing some thoughts about the items. For starters, skipping corrupting potion as a starting item is kind of a big deal imo, since it gives you mana sustain alongside sustain and trade potential (hence you may use more w's, so it gives you quite the sustain overall, and you may not get mana hungry for trades); skipping doran's shield and cloth+potions is too, but sure they're heavily matchup dependant so it's not that bad. Second off, I feel like there isn't enough mention of a more bruiser-ish build path: your suggested items are very aggressive, and that is sure nice, but for example i prefer going for trinity+hydra+pure tank items, since you'll already have enough damage to kill just about anyone for as long as the game goes, given that you're not behind. You mention tank Camille, but that's yet another, different game style. Then, I don't feel like frozen mallet may be as good as you made it to be, since Camille already has tons of sticking; spending gold on it feels a bit overkill to me if not necessary vs the team matchup, I'd rather get some other item's passives. But then again, I never actually tried it, so i may be wrong, prolly it's just about playstyles. Last (tho it probably wouldn't be a good idea to put it in a beginner's guide in order not to confuse new players anyways, so I'm just sharing a little thing of mine) I personally consider zz'rot portal as a nice niche item as it gives you balanced resistances while making you able to run down a lane super fast w/ either hydra. I know that was a lot of things, but as I said, i still consider this to be a good beginner's guide, nice job :).

Yes, this guide actually does need to be updated a bit, I'm currently in the works of visually updating my Kled guide, so I am a bit busy at the moment.

However, I do agree with pretty much everything you said, except for zz'rot portal. I find it to be a weird item to add. I rarely build it because usually nobody wants you splitpushing in lower elos, so I've never tried it.

But thanks! I will get to it once I finish my kled guide!

Glad you found it useful ^^ and I know zz'rot is weird so I didn't really said it as an actual advice but more as a fun lil thing to consider; again, it would probably confuse newer players. Good luck with the kled guide, I'll check that out too even though i don't even have kled :P. It may help out with my subpar Camille-Kled matchup u.u

What do you think is the hardest camille counter in current meta?
1
Arcthunder (9) | January 14, 2018 6:23pm
Hmmm. That's a great question. If I had to take a wild guess, Fiora or Ornn are a pain to play against in the current meta. I say Fiora because of her damage outscales you immensely and she can parry your Hookshot, then go on to win the trade.

Ornn because he's Ornn. His shield from his W is just so overtuned at the moment. Even worse, if he lands his stun or knockup, then you can be sure that you are done for. Also is a pain in teamfights.

Great question tho, thanks for asking!

Hey i like your guide but i have a question about runes.
Why PtA over arcane comet? I have not seen a pro/high elo player with PtA recently top. They all mostly use comet, and PtA doesnt make that much sense unless you use a specific combo.

I will start with this: I absolutely hate Arcane Comet. Personally, it does nothing to help out Camille, other than increase her poke damage on Tactical Sweep.

The reason why I have Press the Attack on this guide is because the damage amp, plus the vulnerability is great for her damage output. The reason you don't see it very often is that people over at /r/CamilleMains figured out that your true damage on Precision Protocol is not amped. Regardless, it does not discredit it's pros.

I will say this: These new changes to the Resolve tree do make Grasp of the Undying and Aftershock look a bit nicer. I am a favorite of Aftershock, but I shall see in time if it becomes Viable.

Arcane comet + manaflow band is probably the only way to survive lane phase against heavy poke/cc champs or champs that outdamage you. I find the extra poking damage in camille's tactical sweep to be just what she needs to harass enough so that she can keep her enemy in check and then safely move in for the final trade. Maybe precision is alright against favorable matchups but with anything else sorcery is far more useful.

Hey man, question -

When up against tanky targets, I tend to want to go black cleaver instead of triforce, and dont get both to avoid the double up on phage. But I end up feeling sluggish without the added attack speed. I cant really decide on a good attack speed item that also offers the stats I want. What item do you take if you arent going triforce?

Hey! I wanted to add this, now that the new runes are here, but going Press the Attack gives you the early attack speed you are looking for with the path bonus plus Legend: Alacrity! Just wanted to give you a heads up!

If you seek tanky items, I definitely suggest going Iceborn Gauntlet. The main reason you go Trinity Force to begin with is to get the Sheen passive, so Iceborn Gauntlet still provides tankiness while still giving the Sheen passive. However, if you are looking for only attack speed...then I'm not sure. You could always try Blade of the Ruined King, but you don't get any tanky stats from that, nor the Sheen passive.

Sorry that I can't help you out there.
