Hello! For the matchup I personally like taking and with this new season, and just trying to play for a lead especially early on before he becomes tanky. The obvious point is to sidestep his Q since that denies him healing, damage and a slow on you and then you can just all in him pretty much. Also especially early on his E shield is pretty weak so that's why I'd try to push for a lead early.

In lane you can play near minions and walk behind them once he throws Q, or just sidestep if you are confident on that. If he walks up for a cs you can just W him and back off also to get some free damage off. Taking long trades near his tower is risky since if he gets his passive you'll just get thrown under his tower with his ult.

I don't think which build you go really matters in this matchup specifically, so I would just look at your comp and then decide whether you go or route.

Hello! I'm doing good thanks for asking.

Haven't vs'd much as of recent, but for that matchup I'd probably either go or . Grasp will give you stronger short trades especially since will usually root you when you engage and run away with his . You usually want to let him proc and when its down then engage on him. He is relatively squishy before he acquires so you should be able to wither him down bit by bit as long as you don't get poked by him through the wave. I'd just probably rock the standard build of into to keep up with him, but you can also throw in a for some magic resistance.

I personally run and try to go for just quick W's during lane, also baiting him to W and backstepping out of it and then walking up again. Make sure to deny him the healing off his blobs if possible since thats his main source of sustain. At 6 you have to be careful since his ult spawns a lot of blobs for him and also does a lot of damage. It's not a very good lane for imo but its winnable.

Hello! Don't think that item is something that wants since your ult CD isn't that problematic anyways, and you want ability haste for your normal abilities rather than only your ult.

hii!!! The new season has greatly changed the builds of many characters, including Jax. and I noticed that taam kench has become very hard for Jax, since without divin sunderer Jax lacks sustain and damage against it.what do you recommend buying, and basically what to do against this catfish?

Hello!

I haven't faced yet personally, so I can't say yet anything really other than I'd still probably go into since early on you can still kill him and afterwards just waveclear with Hydra.

I'm not sure about any of the shred items yet for . In some rare cases maybe is viable but I won't make any statements yet on that since I haven't tested much. Also in terms of sustain is a viable option.

Could jax use any of the new items like rageblade and go hybrid jax since now he has better AP ratios?

Really don't see working for since he has no HP while rushing it and you are also giving up on first item. If you go second, still have no HP to tank anything. At its best, it's probably a 4fun build you can do, but personally I don't see it.

Your guide is just loverly, my only thought is that maybe you want to build a color theme? pick a color, or a couple close colors, and consider even recoloring your item links. The idea being that your guide ends up with a more cohesive visual theme.

Hi! I have one more question. . what jax build do you prefer this patch/season? it's just strange to see bork in the recommended items, knowing your preference, wits end.

I still stick to the regular -> / -> situational basically just depending on what enemy team has. is pretty nice item even sometimes 2nd if you need to be the one engaging for your team since it will buy you time while your team follows your engage.

While it's true I preferred for a long time, my choice basically depends on what I'm laning vs and if they have multiple AP champions. If they have like 2-3 AP champions or more then I probably opt for , unless they are really behind and the game seems like a stomp then I might just go anyways. is fine if they have less AP damage since you can itemize things like vs singular AP champ or a fed AP champ.

got nerfed and you don't run because of the nerf on it as well, so its overall just worse these days. or is just far superior option these days since it gives good stats for laning and generally allows you to sustain and fight through your way for the first reset to buy if you need the extra sustain. Only difference is you have to be a bit more conservative with mana but that's why you take to help you with mana issues.

Hy! I really like your guide. what do you think about the conqueror? is he a good choice for jax? Or is lethal Tempo better? do need an hourglass for jax?

While is viable choice, I think is still just superior since it makes you a lot stronger in early lane phase and if you can't make use of then you opt for in matchups like and etc where you don't get extended trades.

is a situational item for . If you are doing the engaging for your team and your team doesn't really have proper follow up, or if you just need to buy time in general in fights then is a fine option.

is now a crit item, which really isn't what Jax wants. Previous iteration of gave the Essence Flare active, but the item was essentially ''extracted'' into and was just reverted to it's crit iteration.

So I would say isn't an item for anymore. Sure the mana refund sounds good since you will be running oom with , but overall doesn't want pure offensive items like but rather bruiser/tanky items like or as an example.

Ah, thanks for notifying me :D I always forget about the separate Jax jungle build so that slipped from me, corrected it now though. Most of the time I don't even build on jungle since you aren't really dueling all that much which the item is really meant for, so more tanky and clearing items like are better imo.

Yeah, I understand, but see top really isn't my lane so I play him mostly in the jungle which is also my main role. Honestly, I'm a bit conflicted with . On one hand, rushing can help clear speed but on the other, Triforce is too good on to delay building it. I used to build Hydra first for some extra tankiness but since I switched to Triforce after boots, my gameplay improved considerably. I suppose it depends on how the game is going.

Yeah I mean I wouldn't go first anyways, and quite frankly I really rarely get to that point where I'm full build as jungle . Usually I go red smite with Cinderhulk into / Mercury Treads, then . After that I consider do I need straight up tank stats, or burst prevention etc, so items like , , etc are options. If I don't need tanky stats then sure, I'll go Titanic or even on some occasions.

About the smite upgrade, I know makes better use of the red one but I tend to follow your suggestion and get the blue one since it gives his ganks some extra stickiness and as you say, he's already a strong duelist. I also pick Bloodrazor usually but I may have to switch that since people nowadays don't really pick tanks (plus I'm low elo and they don't really think it through there). Problem is, through my accumulated experience, I get the idea Bloodrazor just feels better than Cinderhulk so I'm not sure. If I were to change something, the smite upgrade is more probable but since this is we're talking about, I never thought that I needed more dueling power.

I've just come to the conclusion that Blue smite is pretty meh nowadays (updated it on the guide now that I realised it's outdated as well...), most of the duelist junglers go red smite, so that naturally helps you to match them.

Also I feel Bloodrazor is overall pretty meh since you'll be really squishy with it early. Cinderhulk makes you overall more healthy (synergizes with items Jax builds since most items contain HP, like , , etc) and you can actually be frontline for your team during early skirmishes.

If I'm about to build Triforce right after boots, then Cinderhulk may indeed be a more healthy option given that it's a tanky item while Triforce is more offense oriented. It should help be more resilient and have some damage to contend with at the same time. It certainly sounds a better option than getting Bloodrazor and then Triforce which emphasizes offense only.

Consider that we choose a build path that only includes items with HP in it: most of your choices fall in that category like , and whichever pure tank item we may need, like , , and whatnot. These items would generally benefit from Cinderhulk to get more HP out of it. We can exclude since it's a more offense-oriented item despite the HP it grants. If these are our best options in the current meta, then certainly will benefit more from Cinderhulk without becoming much weaker at the same time. Tankiness makes last longer in fights and is one of those champions that the longer he fights, the more dangerous he becomes. I'll try it for myself in the jungle but it certainly sounds like a solid idea for a build now.
