I also feel like rushing Morrello 2nd item is not as effective as before, instead i try to go Proto belt > Void staff first, and notice that i can clear range minion much easier with void staff components (i'm max W > E) than typical morrello orb (around same price range).
Plus Void staff is a cheaper.
Cut back Morrello also free up slot for me to go both hourglass + Banshee late game. Banshee does help a lot when engaging a team with Azir/Janna/Ali star/Lee Sin.
So basically I take klepto vs meeles and phase rush vs ranged, but sometimes I'll also take phase rush if I want the mobility for teamfighting which I still feel is really strong. But like I said both are definitely viable.
Also I was wondering if you can give me advise on how to handle teams that constantly want to tf without the full team vs there’s , and should we wait for my ulti to be up if our team and the enemy team are on even ground. It’s hard to get people to relax when they get blood thirsty for kills lol
Yeah you always want to wait for your ultimate if you're going to teamfight with Kennen or he is pretty useless, I would just ping my ult time left (by pinging the ability)or type to my team in chat if they're really bloodthirsty for some reason, unfortunately you can't control them so there might be some instances where they still go all in after you ping but that's about all you can do.
however two things weren't clear to me: which runepages are better for each situation and more importantly what do you build on him if you wanna go ad? I mean I feel like most of the damage I do is with his auto attacks and summon aery and if I wanna go ad its a completely different play style because only his w scales with ad. also, will it hurt my laning phase early if I'd build shurelyas? I feel like his all in combined with its active has a true oneshot potential
Summon aery is good if you're trying to win lane hard since it offers a lot of extra poke damage in lane (make sure you're taking advantage of it if you're running it though)
Phase rush is better for teamfights since it allows you to speed around and get better ultimates off (I personally perfer phase rush overall since it also does help with lane and just feels super nice late game which is mostly what I play kennen for.)
As for AP vs AD, the only time you should ever really consider going AD is if you're against a hard tank since you just rush botrk and splitpush 24/7 but in my opinion AD kennen isn't very good in soloQ since you have to get a big lead and split 24/7 so I perfer to just go AP and carry with good ultimates.
However, I have a question regarding Runes and Items. Given the Reforged Runes you have used for Kennen and the inclusion of
As far as I understand,
I haven't tried hextech gunblade out myself and it may make you more annoying in lane since your autos would do more. But I will say hextech protobelt is strong in many ways besides just repositioing, number one it helps a lot with waveclear even though he has decent waveclear sometimes clearing the meeles if there is a big stack is annoying without protobelt. Number two which is the big reason is the AOE damage is actually really strong on this item in a teamfight and it just gives you that extra AOE damage that you need to finish off targets + position better in a teamfight, also thirdly the HP from hextech protobelt is really good I think since you want to survive your entire ultimate in fights.
Basically I believe protobelt is better overall for teamfighting which is kennens main strength, but gunblade wouldn't be bad for a splitpush lane harass type build, just different playstyles at the end of the day.
