How does ranked work?

This basically is a way for Riot to make it easier to distribute the ranked rewards for the victorious skins for example. You can still go into ranked, but climbing more now won't change the outcome of how you ended this season & the ranks will reset later as well with season 10 coming later after preseason (the one we currently have).
