I guess crit Shri would work, but would you recommend a full lethality build? Since she is going top, you would need armour pen more then crit damage.

I wouldn't suggest lethality on Ahri. The big issue with lethality on Ahri is the fact her abilities all deal magic damage and don't scale with AD. This means the only thing lethality would do is provide a small amount of armor pen on her autos. While this may be helpful, lethality items don't have much besides AD and Armor Pen to help Ahri. They often give some CDR which is useful, but they all lack passives that can really help Ahri. Generally if you want armor pen, you should probably go the on-hit build with Blade of the Ruined King and Rageblade(Which gives 15% Armor and Magic Pen) that will help you deal percent health damage, which serves a similar purpose in this case of helping beat tanks. Critical gives Ahri more damage output overall with the attack speed, crit damage, and passives. If you're going for a split push build, you could consider having Sanguine Blade, but that's about it. Lethality also lacks the mana of the Essence Reaver or Muramana build. The on-hit and infinity edge builds also lacks this, but the on-hit/infinity edge build relies less on mana in comparison to kiting with the high attack speed, which lethality would lack.

This was a fun build to play. You actually can abuse melee top laners super hard with this and if you get an early Frozen Mallet they can't really escape either. Great build!

Glad you enjoyed playing it. Frozen Mallet isn't part of my usual build for this, but it can definitely work, especially against melee champs with not fewer dashes like a lot of top laners.

i've played her as an ADC mage, but never thought that she could work as on-hit like Neeko before her nerf.
is ahri still able to make it work in patch 9.20? seems like a fun pick to run in normals, i just wish there was more guides for an AD ahri ;v;

It still works and most likely will unless Ahri receives some major changes removing true damage mobiliy and cc.

Just asking, why the "on-hit" build? Ahri AD is viable, but either you play as an ADC that got a great repositioning, either you use the 3 dashes to get triggers. I don't really see the point of "on-hit" with her kit.

I plan on adding a standard critical and AD build, but this guide is literally just fun builds I've played. I do admit, this isn't the best AD Ahri build, but it's probably just the most fun to mess around with for me. So more or less, why the build? Simply for fun. Another thing I feel that is overlooked is Guinsoo's Rageblade. Due to it giving armor and magic pen, it makes it even better since a lot of the on hit items will make the on hit damage AP, as well as Ahri's normal spells dealing AP. You can stack Guinsoo's pretty easily without having to worry too much about dying before it's maxed out due to her ability to kite.
