Dang dude thanks for the On-hit idea I'll give credits if it turns out that I can make a near-meta build with the on-hit stuff, vouchies

So ravenous hunter is just going away and is being replaced by Treasure Hunter which just gives extra gold for the first takedown on each champ. Are you going to make a new build to replace the ravenous hunter one you have now?

I'm on the Rammus mains Discord and everyone says Sunfire is better and that Deadmans is not worth building anymore. What do you think about this?

+1 for Frillen

I can add that Rammus is very flexible, you can play any build into him, as long as it has a minimum of resists, if you wanna check some other more off-meta but better to snowball builds, make sure to check mine (sry for advertising in your comment section)

132 master players played ranked with Rammus over the past 2 days and these are the item winrates.

Don't trust Rammus mains. Trust data.

After the bramble nerf tragedy of 2021, what do you do in terms of first buys? I know Thornymale doubles the damage on your engage, but between the better engage of thornmail versus the 125% damage increase to jungle monsters that a full Bami's mythic gives, I'm just not sure which is more important for Rammus. I've experimented with full clearing until I have the gold for either a full Thornmail buy or a full Mythic, and my clearing doesnt take much of a hit for it but clearly I miss out on gank opportunities. Because bramble is just 35 armor and a lackluster grievous wounds passive, should I even bother combining two cloth armor until I have the gold for a full Thornmail? Or do buy bamis to sit on for a while and full focus on getting a full Thornmail? Thanks for always keeping up with the guide over the years, you've helped me find my true love in Rammus and his sultry six voice lines, you are an "Ok" dude in my big book of rammus

I haven't been playing a ton since the Bramble nerfs, and all my games have been short, so I only got to finish 1-2 items and haven't really bothered getting Bramble.

I think rushing a jungle item is the most reasonable plan atm to compensate for slow clearing. But don't try to powerfarm in higher elos, jungle exp and gold are nerfed too hard. Only way to win is to gank a lot and enable someone on your team to carry.

I still rush Turbo Chemtank and Dead Man's Plate before I start to worry about Bramble - and only if they have a lot of healing or sustain, or Thornmail late game vs auto attackers.

Sunfire Aegis seems to be performing better than Turbo Chemtank at the moment though. Stay up to date on Leagueofgraphs.com item stats by elo.

Gargoyle Stoneplate, Abyssal Mask and Anathema's Chains are also performing really well.

Hey, I don't see any thornmail in the item section. Is there a reason for this? Do you not build that item?

Do you have any thoughts on any new builds with the now released Rammus changes?

Frillen (4) | April 18, 2021 3:21am
It's pretty hard to find items that provide more value for Rammus at the moment than Turbo Chemtank, Dead Man's Plate, Thornmail, Gargoyle Stoneplate and Force of Nature. Abyssal Mask and Warmog's Armor are decent alternatives to force of nature, but pretty much all the other items are unmatched.

Predator might be a thing tho!

Hey Frillen, so I was just thinking, now that ravenous is a pretty dead rune now as it no longer helps give a healthy first clear and the omnivamp is pretty underwhelming now going from the usual 10k+ healing to now like 2k, I was thinking that riftmaker might be a pretty good item to compensate for the loss in omnivamp and the cheap shot damage loss for running the sorcery runepage. It is more expensive, however I think it might just be a better option when you are ahead early, but obviously when even or behind, it's probably still better to get chemtank. Let me know your thoughts!

Frillen (4) | March 17, 2021 2:05pm
Riftmaker is not good early or mid game, but if you go deadmans, gargoyles into Riftmaker 3rd or 4th I'd expect it to be a a very strong late game mythic.

The problem is that nothing really competes with chemtank and deadmans rush at the moment.

Joshuag03 | March 17, 2021 2:45pm
yeah you're right honestly. I played 1 game with riftmaker and it felt nice to heal a lot and do some extra damage, but chemtank deadmans is pretty strong. I guess I just gotta adjust my playstyle until ravenous becomes viable again. I swapped over to sorcery secondary and it feels pretty good with the extra movespeed. I'm still making wits end rush work as well which is nice, bramble into wits into chemtank, although once I get into diamond I feel as though I should probably switch on over to straight up tank.

this has helped me so much, especially the part about focusing on the krugs, ive gotten 4 full S grades and two S- in less than 24 hours, im now one S or S+ from mastery level 7 with rammus

I wasn't sure if I should continue our older comments or make a new one, but I made a new one!

With the new changes to jungle coming Rammus is probably going to be hurt even more than the champs with fast clear right? :(

Frillen (4) | February 7, 2021 12:39am
At first glance it doesn't look very fonky. It's a bit of a struggle to keep tempo early already, so seem like we might be going full support Rammus soon. Who knows, maybe the new ult is gonna be so OP that we'll be fine. Or worst case we're gonna suck for a few patches and hope for a buff. It goes up and down!

Hi, I'm a bronze player and I'm finding this guide very helpful. Constant farming has increased my win rate significantly. I have a lot of feedback and questions:
- Watching videos and replays is a great way to improve... When you know what to watch for! For those of us in lower ELOs it doesn't help so much because we don't even understand what players in higher ELOs are doing.
- What is Point and click crowd control? I've checked the examples but I still don't get it.
- The League of Graphs link doesn't show synergies.
- What is best for low ELOs, Demolish or Font of life?
- How do you path efficiently?
- What is proxy wave clear? (I know what wave clear is, I just don't know what "proxy" means there).
- What is a profitable clear?
- There's a lot of strategy information in the mid game subsection of itemization. That probably belongs in the strategic part.
- Does the idea of "prioritize playing around teammates that have the most reliable stats and are most likely to carry" apply to low ELO? I ask because in low ELO weak players tend to feed their enemy laner if I don't help them.

The guide is very well written, but there are a few grammar mistakes here and there. A grammar check tool could help with that.

Thank you for your feedback!

1) I find replays mostly helpful for improving first clears, and of course you can't learn everything from replays – it a tool for inspiration and evaluation. When reviewing replays, some decisions are obviously better than others, but most of the time it's not obvious, and you have to rely on experience and intuition. Analyzing your in-game decisions and thinking about what alternative options you might've had and whether these could have been more profitable is a great way of improving.

When comparing low elo with high elo gameplay you may start noticing some very obvious differences like less tendency to take risky barons or leaving sidelanes unattended, but yes, it is very much a question on what is your focus and this changes dramatically with experience.

2) When I talk about "point and click CC", I mean non-skill shot CC that are garanteed to hit when in range.

3) Generally im not to fond (pun intended) of font of life, because it's so situational. Demolish gives obvious value in all my games, whereas Font of Life feels underwhelming. In theory FoL should be better for team figthing and supporting your team, so you might see it more in very high level play. Demolish is definately better for creating a lead for yourself and thus better in lower elos.

4) Personally, I path efficiently simply by keeping my Krugs and Raptors on cooldown as much as possible.

5) Proxy wave clear is farming a minion wave before it hits your own minion wave. Rammus is amazing at speeding past allied minion waves and proxy clearing with immolate and thorns.

6) I will try and clean up my sections, when I find the time :)

7) No matter the elo, I will typically prefer to invest more in players with good stats on their champion. Say, I have a 5 game Draven bot with 50% WR and a 50 game Katarina with 55% WR, I will be more likely to priotize mid over bot. However, these decisions also be affected by how matchups are played out.

Some more feedback: You say that Anivia is a high threat but you don't explain why. Can you elaborate on that?

Thank you, very good answers. I have one more question:
Quoted:
Experiment with Ninja Tabi as first or second item, if you have a profitable clear.

Can you elaborate?
