Could I get some clarification on what is considered "Off-Meta"? In terms of what would qualify for the category. Like for example, a champion being played in another role that isn't considered their main/meta role like Morgana mid/jungle.

Off-meta guides can be anything. Whether that be a guide for a champion in an unusual role or just with an unusual item build, imagination is key here. :) @ Sleepininthegarden
Thanks to Jovy for the sig!

Does a build like a tryn top build that uses off meta items count such as shiv, bork, or edge of night count? Also how exactly do off meta guides get judged, or is it random?

Hey, @ TentiTiger11

Off-meta guides can be completely anything. If you're deciding to make a guide on a champion in a completely different role than usually or if you're deciding to play a champion but with a very unusual item build for example, then that'd still work.

The Off-meta guides will get judged by @ Aqua Dragon.

Hey @ Sleepininthegarden and @ TentiTiger11 !

In addition to what Fruxo has already mentioned above, you can check out Aqua Dragon's guides for some great off meta guides that you can use as reference. :)

How you will understand that a guide is off-meta? Should I do something special?

Hey @ paokgr!

We consider off-meta any different style of playing that is unique from the standard way of playing. For example, Aqua Dragon's play style for Malzahar in the Jungle.

Think outside the box and maybe you'll change the meta and win some goodies! ;)

For the new guide, how does it work if we publish one say today and update it later in say a week?
Will the updated guide (in 1 week) count as a new guide for the reason that it was made during the challenge, or will it count as an updated guide, or will the New Guide be judged before the update?

Good luck everyone! I am especially looking forward to seeing the off-meta guides! But like others have said here before, the boundary between meta and off-meta isn't always that clear. For example my Maokai guide has a large part about jungle Maokai, which is quite rare these days. Would it count as off-meta?

Hey @ ak521!

If the guide has been created during the contest, meaning since this post has been created and till the contest ends on August 9th, the guide will be considered new.

This is a great incentive to make new guides tbh. I think I will be making one for Senna later.
