Hello! Very well-made guide, my friend!

What do you think about the new on ? I think it's great because it allows for big bursts while also being great in extended fights. If you ever need sustain, the new might actually be a good option, because it gives A TON of lifesteal while also providing great damage while full hp.

I don't believe is as good of an item as it once used to be - compared to people currently playing during this patch, almost everyone is still running as it's still the stronger choice.

As for - it definitely is a well made item for lifesteal/damage, however its bonuses are pretty lost on a melee champion like . Most of the times you'll see this item being used on ranged champions because proccing the lifesteal is far easier on someone who can damage from afar. I just really do not believe the damage while >50% HP is more worth the 3200g price tag than to just build another item of similar gold value that gives you many other stats that are more worth.

New Vi player here. Ive pretty much just been following the most popular build for Vi on u.gg most of my games which is Chempunk into radiant virtue. I noticed this guide doesnt have that build. What are your thoughts on the build? Should I avoid it?

Currently going to make changes soon to include the new build as it's very popular this patch as of the recent changes made to the items. Personally the build is very good, the only time where it isn't is if you're against an enemy team that doesn't have many melee champions. It's very hard to make full use of radiant's abilities if you aren't clumped together and can just get poked from afar.

Thanks good to know. So should I always go radiant virtue into melee comps or should I sometimes go divine? Also what do you think about starting Black cleaver considering the buffs it got?

I feel like it'd likely be up to personal preference, both builds are just as viable. You can have equally as much success only going divine into everything as you would with this new virtue build.

The buffs got was nice but I don't believe it justifies it being built as a first item. Before this new build, has always been an item too strong to pass up, due to it being a mythic and designed to be strong for the early- mid stages of the game. Even now with this new virtue build, you still see cleaver being built 3rd and beyond - people just won't have enough armor built that early in the game to really justify rushing cleaver for the armor shred.

Ok trhanks. One last question, when going radiant virtue do you think it would be good to take aftershock shield bash conditioning revitalize instead of hail of blades and going for a bit of a tank build?

Short answer: No.
Long answer: really just isn't a good pick on Vi. She's a bruiser after all, not a tank, and if anything you can still build items that make you feel more tankier of a champion. Nobody really uses aftershock anymore due to past nerfs that were pretty heavy on such a build (especially in comparison to the 2 most used keystones/pages being and ) and you'd be much better off going for a pure damage keystone rather than such a defensive one. Especially with the Virtue build you'd almost have 0 damage if you coupled it with Aftershock, at least up until you get your 3rd / 4th item - it's not very ideal so to say.

do you think at this point in time especially since jak sho was nerfed that assassin vi is better or regular bruiser vi?

Honestly a bit debatable. is still the current most popular and strongest item on her, however it does not mean that assassin is weak.

This is a great guide! Clear and detailed.

I really like the fact that you added a "first back" segment in the items section. There are some things that are now outdated in the guide and I would like to see them changed. For example, there is a segment for Ravenous Hunter, which has been removed from the game and the recommendation for Phage on first back (used to be built into Divine Sunderer)

Ah, I did not notice these when I checked through the guide. Considering is still an optimal pick for , they have now been changed.

Hi i really enjoyed your guide but i am having difficulty as a vi main not knowing how to counter jungle/counter build specific junglers. pls help

Counter jungling is a simple concept once you get the hang of it, but can be hard to grasp at first. Basically, if say the enemy jungler is at the top side of the map, you'll have an option, either to gank the bottom side, get drake (if available) or you can walk into the enemy's jungle and counter jungle, hence the word. You're basically stealing your opponents camps whilst they're on another side of the map which can garner you a good lead if the jungler is oblivious (below Diamond I'd say). However, the higher up you get, you need to understand that your opposing jungler can do the same thing to you as you do to them, taking your camps on the top side of the map. The map gets split, top side is theirs, bottom side is yours and vice versa, for the most part.

As for builds to counter junglers, it completely depends on the jungler. If it's a burst AP user (say Evelynn), you can go , if it's an AD user, you can stack armor, if it's an AP user in general but can't 1shot you, you can stack magic resist and so forth. It more or less depends on the matchup you're facing.

Is Sterak's still a viable item choice for Vi? I'm new to bruisers but heard the item was nerfed a while ago.

It has been nerfed before but it's still her most popular 2nd item, there's no reason not to build it unless the enemy team has way more AP than they do AD.
