You are misunderstanding some things. Do you realize how popular this website is? How many people post comments and votes every day? Release guides and builds every day? If the mods (and there are two of them. two people.) have to respond to your request for removing a vote, wouldn't that mean everyone else should be able to have their's removed as well? Do you realize how many requests DEWO and Jebus would get (let alone the ones they have already gotten)? Besides doing everything else that mods have to do, locking threads and updating databases just to name a few, this would be a ridiculous amount of work for them. Trolls will be trolls, there are trolls everywhere.
I forgot who said this, I think Matt or DEWO, but it was something like:
if someone gives you a -1 for "I like pancakes", obviously they like pancakes enough to not like your guide.
If their reason for -1 is, if your case ,./, then maybe they don't like the guide because their finger slid on the bottom right portion of the keyboard while reading it and there happened to be a knife there and they chopped their finger off. o-o
But...yea. I'm sorry this has happened to you, but it has happened to everyone.

I guess I just don't agree with you. It didn't matter if that build was 6 Wriggles Lanterns, it would have had the same rate and comment.

If you don't agree with me me, it's perfectly fine. You are entitled to your opinion. But unless someone exploits the system(i.e he/she creates new accounts for the sake of downvoting the same guide multiple times) no votes will be taken back.

Be that as it may, it is even more unfair to censor the opinion of a user who plays League of Legends and therefore is part of not only the MOBAFire community but also the LoL community.

I do understand that. I just don't see how trolling is an opinion, you know? Something that would be posted on any build reguardless of its content. Not trying to start a disagreement or anything. Definitely everyone is entitled to the opinion and obviously the site moderators are mods for a reason.

I understand it's an issue you're unsure how to solve. Making the call on whats an actual troll vote or whats a troll vote with a real opinion in it isn't easy. Again, I'm not trying to pick on you or tell you how to run things. I do get that you can't really pick and choose what to delete, although I would probably go through the ones that don't have an actual feedback opinion and just get rid of it. If it's reported... but I do understand that would take a long *** time to go through all the reports. I understand it's not "that easy."

Yes, yes. This suggestion has been brought up before. But when it comes down to it, that means that the ones who are determining the ratings on this site are the ones who moderate the votes - probably the admins, moderators, and veterans. If that happens, MOBAFire becomes a site where the top builds are those that the veterans have decided should be there.
In addition, there would be a lot more issues with deciding whether a vote is valid or not as opposed to just letting it slide.
Voting would be less accurate, because every good guide would literally be hanging around the same 95% area.
Troll votes separate the great guides from the good ones. A great guide needs to make a user think "Wow, this really deserves a +1" instead of "This is a good guide". A great guide needs to give users that extra push to comment and vote up the guide. That is what lets the top guides get where they are today, despite troll votes.
So yeah, I can understand the frustration that you're experiencing with troll votes, but everyone gets them.
