Sorry to disappoint, but AP+AS Irelia was godlike.

Sorry to disappoint you, it was not, mainly due to a lack of AD dps to let the AS be of use, also the fact you shouldn't hybrid ad/ap on her is because her ultimate for 1 takes the damage+ from the highest value between the 2, so either AD or AP.
Not to mention i don't see any use for AP on an AS build as she has no skills/spells/passives which allows her to convert AP to AD.
The builds (from most used to least) were: Tanky irelia, AD/AS irelia, AP irelia.
Anything else was pointless.
She's still viable.
But she's not crazy happy funtime like she used to be. She's pretty mellowed out now, and I think people stopped playing her because of all the Nocturne and Lee Sin hype.
Lee Sin is probably far more popular than Irelia, with very similar tanky-dps play style. :)

I noticed like some high elo players stopped playing it.
Does that mean she's just not as good compared to other physical carry champs? (Ashe, Yi, Ezreal, corki, TF, sivir, xin zhao)
Can we still build Irelia tanky? OR is it just trinity force and AD (infinity edge/bloodthirster etc). I am pretty sure AP is bad for Irelia now.
From Patch notes:
o Damage reduced to 80/130/180/230/280 from 80/135/190/245/300
o Cooldown reduced to 8 seconds from 9
o Ability ratio reduced to .5 from 1
* Transcendent Blades damage reduced to 85/135/185 from 90/140/190
* Base health reduced to 515 from 575
* Movement speed reduced to 320 from 330
