Im not gonna bother reading anything other than the OP... but are you an idiot? even DotA only had one map. do you know how hard it is to make a map? it is so easy for champs to abuse the design of a map, and so many things have to be considered. plus if this map was implemented, what modes would it be available in? how would they be able to balance champs for that map while balancing them for 5v5 at the same time? Maps are 100000 times harder to design with balance than a champ is... plus they are working on so much more important stuff to help the game out such as... say... balance? I see where you are coming from, but if you are gonna QQ about it so hard, maybe you should play an fps instead.
You obviously arent high elo, or you wouldnt say it was a balanced game. only about 1/4th of all the champs are competitively viable. Not to say you cant play them in cometitive scenes, but they just dont do their part as well. take lee sin. take karma. maokai. kayle. you mean to tell me they are balanced? fine. ill play vladimir and you play kayle.
as for the achievements, do you honestly think that is the most important thing right now? over all the other **** they have to do? i keeep comparing to dota, but its kinda the gold standard. dota was incredibly simple compared to what lol offers. no achievements, no multiple maps, just one map and the same champs. the only difference is they had different champion picking modes. that was the ONLY difference. they didnt even have a matchmaking system. Yet DotA is the standard that all other MOBAs branched out from.

All the moba games came from Aion of strife, a Starcraft custom map ^^ agree with you 100% on all other
lol whats funny is sonatas always corrects me on that too. TECHnically its aion... but aion is hardly the standard to go by. most people dont even know about aion.
@Read:
Sorry, first read, I thought you meant a 1v1 map.
Honestly, anything below a 3v3 map would become very broken very fast.
Ideal imo, would be Mordekaiser + Mundo/Sion/Malphite in a 2v2. You just wouldn't be able to bring them down.
Not really sure about 1v1, maybe Olaf.
As for your thoughts about Riot having money, and how they should be appealing to everyone.
They don't.
1. They're human too, and need to be paid.
2. Making new features without any relation of the current ones takes time
2b. New independent features split up the customer base, which can cause difficulties of its own.
2c. To be blunt, adding a new feature would require 10x more research and time then you'd expect.
Example: Guinsoo stated that (although he makes great champions) it would take him 3~6 monthes to design a new champion, which would be time away from the live/balancing team.
3. They have their own ideas of how they want to shape the game.

As the guy said...
The thread starter obviously haven't played dota or the Starcraft map it was inspired from (never heard of it till today BTW) or he wouldn't say that LOL is becoming stale with "repetative" (sic) maps and whatnot... Even at low ELO I still enjoy what Riot has done, what they have been doing, with LOL and look forward to the novel ideas that they would be doing in the future...
Play the game, rack up IP or (if you can afford it) RP so you can get new Runes, get new Masteries and then go up to Summoner lvl 30...once you've done that spend said points to get new heroes (70+) and learn different play styles... play both Summoner's Rift and Twisted Treeline the only map that you can play for now...
And last but not the least, although all of us have great ideas brewing in our minds in how to make this game look good, we must tone down on getting ahead of what Riot Games is planning for the future they might just give it to us and of course they just might not. The important thing is your having fun playing and not *****ing about how a game should be improved based on just a few hours, or a few weeks of gameplay...

And second, there is a reason why LOL (and other games of this genre) are called M.O.B.A. (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) with the emphasis on "Multiplayer"...
