My two tips.
1. Avoid knight in shining armor scenarios. Yes you saved her from her parents/friends/other boyfriend, etc. Good job, and now you can watch your relationship shatter into thousands of pieces, or somehow (like very very very low chance) kick off.
2. What is more precious your friendship, or you dating them? I'm currently here with one of my friends, while I would date her, but I think two of her past boyfriends she rarely talks to or tolerates. Not willing to risk a friendship over that.
