Hi, Im a new player n im playing Veyne.
My Question would be whats the "optimal" gear, if u could choose any. Ive read theres a speed-cap and im pretty sure i go above it all the time. Most games im top in kills n loaded with gold so i basicly get to choose any gear i want.

What would be the optimal gear to get and in what order?
Whats the % of haste before i get capped?

TY in advance for responses

there is no speed cap and I'm not really sure what your movement speed has to do with your build order. (also there's no such thing as "haste" in this game) vayne doesn't really need to build much movement speed because of her passive and her ult.

Have you checked out any of the vayne guides? that will give you most of what you need to know about what items to build and such.

Sorry if i was unclear, By "haste" and "speed" i mean Attack Speed in both cases, so not movement speed. And ive read it caps at 2.5 atks per second. But saw where i can keep track of that anyway.

Yes ive watched guides, but they dont seem to include "dream gear" as in if u get to pick anything u want, thats what im asking for since i basicly can most games i want to get on the right track on what to get.

There's no speed cap but there's a certain level when it starts getting reduced for whatever reason. If your speed is over 490 without any % bonuses, it's multiplied by 50%
I'm not a vayne player so, I don't know the itemset to get on her.

Thank you to jhoijhoi for the sig, and all the dividers in the guide.

dream gear? I guess you could buy an Infinity Edge and Bloodthirster, maybe two Phantom Dancers, there should never be a point where you have tons of gold just sitting, you should constantly be buying items.

Honestly, if you look at some of the top-rated guides they most likely have vayne's "dream gear". Which BTW is called a build, using the correct terminology would help people understand what you mean. I understood what you were trying to say when you spoke of a speed cap because only your attack speed caps out at 2.5 attacks per sec, but others didn't.
The idea in the game is to build the most beneficial items at the optimal times. You want to stay cost-effective, because you aren't always going to have great games and lots of gold and it's foolish to think so or rely on that.
I haven't played Vayne in awhile, so I'm not going to sit here and try to list of the best build for her, but honestly if you read some guides they will give you an idea of the best set-up for her that synergizes best with her attacks and playstyle. And quite often, this guides will have expensive builds that you usually won't finish, just in case of that odd game where it does go on very long.

Seriously. Look at the top Vayne guides, that's what they're there for.

From my perspective there are two basic ways to build Vayne: AD and AS

Items aren't necessarily in any order.

AD:
Berserker's Greaves, Bloodthirster, Infinity Edge, Trinity Force, Banshee's Veil, and Last Whisper or Black Cleaver

AS:
Berserker's Greaves, Black Cleaver, Phantom Dancer, Madred's Bloodrazor, Wit's End, and Banshee's Veil or Frozen Mallet

I'm not much of a vayne player, but all of these items work well on her. Experiment a bit and find the mix that suits you and the situation. The AD build has burst, and the AS build has anti-tank qualities.
Thanks to Janitsu for the sig!

the standard top tier build on vayne is:
zerkers greaves 1-3 doran blades(depending on your early game) i-edge or bloodthirster (i-edge = moar dmg bloodthirster=better laning and easyer teamfights without heals) phantomdancer if enemy builds armor last whisper then either i-edge or bloodthirster(the other one^^) and another phantomdancer
depending on enemy team and your teams peeling you might wanna buy either GA or banshees somewhere inbetween (most of the time after your 2nd intem ie dat first pd)

Ok, I'm going to spell it out real "easily*".

It appears you haven't been playing the game long enough to understand how it works. If you want an idea of the "absolute best" items on Vayne* then read some of the top-rated guides, because those will be the ones where the most people agree on as being the best.

When you build your champ, it is not always the best idea to go straight damage and no defense. I mean, what use are you if you get focused down in a matter of seconds because you're so squishy? Not only will you die a lot, but you won't get any kills because you'll die too fast to close them.

You're asking a question that doesn't have any answer. It depends on the way you want to build Vayne, personal playstyle, and can change from game to game. Your build should not always be static, you need to adjust to situations and build your character differently. It may not be as big of a factor in early levels, but when you get to higher skilled games you need to know this, so better to learn this now than later.

To sum it all up; there are no six "absolute best" items for Vayne, and anyone who tells you what the six "absoulte best" items for Vayne are doesn't know what they are talking about, because no character has these six "absolute best" items.

Read the top-rated build guides for Vayne, they should give you very good examples as to what some of the best ways to build her are.
