BoS vs Swiftness Quints

So I've been working on my Malphite guide and I'm still using (incoming flak) Boots of Swiftness in game. I would prefer not to have it in my guide since there's a little too much hate for this item for my liking. Since I don't own 3 Greater Quintessence of Movement Speed, I would like someone to test/theorycraft for me exactly what the move speed for Malphite would be with the following:

Boots of Swiftness
3 Greater Quintessence of Movement Speed and Mercury's Treads
Boots of Swiftness and Force of Nature
3 Greater Quintessence of Movement Speed, Mercury's Treads and Force of Nature

And, if you have time:
3 Greater Quintessence of Movement Speed and Boots of Swiftness
3 Greater Quintessence of Movement Speed, Boots of Swiftness and Force of Nature

Feel free to include your personal opinion about Boots of Swiftness if you like, but I would prefer some numbers over "BoS sucks don't use them."

I don't even have to do some of these things.
3 swiftness quints+FoN+Merc treads will get you in the range of about 415 MS.
Swapping out those merc treads will bump you about to the 430-450 range or so.

Malph with just BoS will be at 400 MS. 409 with BoS and swiftness quints... I think. My math might be a bit off today.

Move Speed quints are worth 13.95 (14) speed.
FoN is worth 24.8 (25) speed.
Merc Treads are worth 70 speed.
and Boots of Quickness are worth 90 speed.
Tri lane for life.

I made educated guesses. I play amumu and only have 2 MS quints. Same base speed.

At least on Malph. He's got his Q so he just doesn't need them..

I'm also a bit sketchy on the MS quints. They're good, but I just find that MS so very rarely what makes a difference for me. I'd rather take a boost to my laning power (durability/reg/damage) over them and snowball harder instead.

MS nets me kills. End of story.

I only use BoS at the moment because I don't have swiftness quints. Merc treads and swiftness quints would be perfect, so that's how I arranged my guide. There also aren't a lot of places to get MS, while like my entire build is durability. I think Granite Shield is sufficient for laning power.

I think the best setup would be 1 MS quint, and then FoN kinda early on.

1 MS quint will move you from "meh" speed to "slightly faster than most people", and will at least keep you at a manageable speed. Additionally, this opens you up to put in 2 other quints that can benefit you in lane, like searz said.

Chu8 does this on maokai; 1 MS quint, 2 AP quints, and a Trinity Force for more move speed later on. Obviously you'll be substituting the AP quints and TF for other stuff, but you get my point.

MS quints make you a bit less reliant on boots in lane, and avoiding poke/harass because of that speed can be considered sustain in and of itself.

ya, MS has saved me way more then 3 health quints.
MS quints have gotten me more kills then flat dmg/ap/or armor magic pen.

with that being said

MS quints OP imo
