He is kindof like akali though, a snowball champion and if you don't play him correctly or he isn't getting fed he tends to fall off.

But Akali never falls off.

Talon falls off even if you -do- get fed.

He doesn't need to get fed to do amazing damage, but that's the same for akali. To really be good they both need to be fed.

No. Akali doesn't need to be fed to be really good. Farm and a solo lane is enough. And she essentially counters all melee champions with ease.

Talon tends to counter ranged squishy champs in laning phase. In team fights he has to wait around for team to initiate, and then burst down ranged carries/supports/AP's before they can react.

The only difference is Akali can do this too, and she can do several times in one fight.

I really wouldn't say akali is much better than talon. Personally I prefer Talon, but that's just my opinion. They're both pretty close.

They're not really that close. Akali is better at most things Talon does. She has sustain in laning phase as well, which on Talon you have to rune for or build in your items.

The thing I hate about Akali though is she requires a specific rune page to herself. And yes I know she isn't the only one but it makes it hard to play her as much as I want to.

This has nothing to do with the viability or strength of the champion though.

Akali isn't the counter to most melee champs.
Hell, Master Yi and Tryndamere win vs Akali ten times out of ten.

Akali is one of the hardest counters to Tryn? Lol, you don't know what you're talking about?

Master Yi would be annoying for a while and then you get your ult and a revolver, and I don't see him winning that lane. I don't know if he would win it earlier I've never seen the lane before.

But Tryndamere gets absolutely demolished. Just crushed.

It's one of Akali's easy lanes.

Akali has an easy time against anyone who has to 1v1 her up close. She just kites them and bursts their nuts off.

How is this thread still going lol
Also, Talon DOES have a leg up on Akali in one area: CC. He'll silence her then rape her.
1v1, talon wins. But Akali is still the better character.

I don't care about my rep, but you can +rep if you want to.

Just going to affirm that I agree with you completely.

Melee-assassins still deal good damage, if they're not fed.
But if they aren't fed, they're not overleveled. If they're not overleveled / ahead in gear, they get bursted down very easily because they're squishy. They're pubstomp-y. P:

1v1 between Akali and Talon would depend entirely how strong one or the other is. Talon doesn't counter Akali just because he has a silence.

A farmed Talon would beat an average farm Akali. Because he would just 100 to zero her like he does to most champions.

A farmed Akali would survive a poor Talon's burst, and then heal off the damage with her gunblade and proceed to burst down Talon.

That's a match up that goes both ways and really comes down to who plays it well. If Talon's silence isn't long enough to 100 to 0 her, Akali can just as easily win it. Longer fights favor Akali int hat match, as Talon is a complete nuker type champion, all of his damage happens at once.

pretty much why I don't like playing burst assassin's in ranked. Too dependent on being fed, which is likely if you know what you're doing and you don't get counterpicked in lane, but if you're not, you're pretty much useless to your team. If you can't burst their carry down in one or two combos, then you can't do much else.

It's gotta be what you do best to make it work in ranked.

WestRice makes Akali look gross even in tournament play, where being farmed and fed is more important than anywhere else. And he's never useless to his team.

Akali is better than a lot of Assassins, in the sense that with just good farm she's really strong. She doesn't have the must get fed aspect that some of the other assassin champions do.
