[/quote] It was 4, we got the actual numbers in Europe (I think, I was too young to own a SNES). You still got all the best ones anyway, FF2 + 3 + 5 were fairly average compared with 4 + 6.[/quote]

[/quote] To summarize Square never released FF2, 3 or 5 overseas (not until many years later with PS1 remakes at least), so when they decided to release 4 and 6 on the SNES they just named the overseas versions 2 and 3, thus causing confusion for decades to come. Remakes and re-releases all have the correct Japanese names as far as I know, this is only for the original SNES versions.[/quote]
