Well at times I feel like the game is balanced more for mid
Most champs are balanced for mid game
But champions like Brand are really really strong in the laning phase, whilst other champions like Irelia are crazy OP late

The thing with dominion is that nobody gets a huge advantage with feeders.
100 gold is barely enough for anything and, 20-30 seconds of downtime means almost nothing on a mobile champ or someone who can snowball back fast.

This is the same reason why in chess people spend so much time memorizing early games and then just kinda wing it late game. Its not like three different games, if you win early, why bother late?
If the game truly was decided early game, why is
LeBlanc UP rather than OP?
All stages of the game are important, though, the chances are, if they have better picks than you and win early game, they will win late game too. If you throw away early game due to bad players, you'll probably throw away late game too, though it's definitely possible to comeback from a bad loss (E.G. I came back from 4/22 in a game a few weeks ago) as it's possible to lose an early lead.

Depends on the mental fortitude of the players. Some champs are strong early and mid, but fall off compared to other champs late. Some champs are horrible early game but can snowball into epicness when you hit late. When you lose early game there is still plenty of time and opprutunity to push back and get momentum going your way. the game is balanced around champions and their peaks and fall offs. that doesn't stop really good players from excelling, but it rewards certain strategies and playstyles.
Before GP5 nerfs people were stalling games until ~40 minutes or so, if possible. As an example of how items have some impact on games.

This is a bad mindset to have.
For example with Malz, I aim for late game not early game. So the whole hey lets try to kill mid a million times isn't on my mind, farming and being ready for the big fights is what I aim for.
But people assume if your up 12-3 you have the game lost .
Or
If your down 10-7 that your team is feeding.
Dude you get 2 - 3 dragons and some towers and the overall gold count is about the same.

My point is, does anyone else feel like a more clearly defined metagame can be created for the mid/late phases of the game? After the front towers go down it seems like things just devolve into chaos with people just doing things as opportunities present themselves.
And beyond that, what do you think Riot should do to make early game "less OP" so to speak. I like the flow of dominion because even if you dominate for the first few minutes (winning the windmill fight, etc.), the enemy team still has the potential to come back for the win.
